On The Road - Thurso

In the early 80s Grampian TV made a topical series about Scottish town and this is the episode where they visited Thurso to have a look around and talk to interesting people.
We have uploaded it in black and white due to signal difficulties in playback of the VHS master. Back in the 1990s we made an enquirey about the programme with Grampian and they advised that they did not have any master recordings of it so we decided to share this 'lost' episode with you. Copyright for "On The Road" exists originally with Grampian Television, We assume that copyrights may have transferred to STV when they took over some years ago.

The great majority of Grampian Television's archive was destroyed when they moved to smaller studios in the early 2000s...

Such a shame, they did some great shows. My sister worked there in the 90s.

Was this filmed in 1984? or earlier? I moved to America in 1981 when I was 13 and was wondering if it was filmed while I was still there. Just a fun fact to know if it's possible, Thanks.

***** I have to disagree with the baseball, actually I was really good at it, frequently got home runs and folks had to duck when I hit the ball because I had a bad habbit of just letting the bat go!
