The isleys definitely deserve more recognition
Ron is just as much an icon as Bruce Springsteen

Criminally under-appreciated. I don't want to hear another word about the f**king Beatles while we have these national treasures right here, still making great music for us.

Ron and the Isley brothers are bigger icons than Bruce, you can't go a day without hearing a Isley brothers songs on TV commercials or in movies or shows, or sampled in other songs, plus they wrote alot of their own material

@@vontebrown1284 I see culture, demographic and ethnicity as the root of the problem.. Bruce and the Isleys were on two different charts. Only noticed by the ethnic groups viewing and listening to artists listed on the specific charts. Kinda like the armed services and employment. The government and public employers had two different groups of soldiers and employees. The music industry was and still is similar. America, America.

The Isleys Brothers definitely deserve more recognition like the Kennedy Center Awards now at this time for 2020 as being one of the oldest plus the best groups still doing it as a true team still now. They came about before many other groups like Earth Wind & Fire , Kool and the Gang even so many more. They took the music in different direction rather it be R&B, Funk, Rock, Even Gospel music so in saying that. They are truly over due to be honored at the Kennedy Center as honorees now for 2020. ------Dunmore Music of Monee IL.

The faith and maturity these two music icons have is expressed so well in the way they praise other talented people without reservation. It's inspiring to see.

Humble professionals with absolutely nothing to prove, the huge body of work speaks for itself. Plus; they owned their own music label (T-neck), yes they are inspiring!

The isley brothers deserve credit for crossing over funk, soul and rock. I remember around the time of 3+3, Fight the power etc, music was racially divided. However, the Isley brothers were on both R&B and FM Rock radios. I knew some affectionately called “rock heads” that loved the Isley brothers. Earnie’s guitar, and Ronald Isly’s vocals are iconic, and deserve to be recognized.

The Isley Brothers was the center hub of music...been making music since the late 1950's, im sure no drug use helped their music career span nearly 60 year's. The Isley Brothers made an album every single year from 1973 to 1983 along with Earth,Wind & Fire, Maze , The Commodores when music was music....i bet Them Isleys drove their mother crazy jamin all the time!

@@mzrolltide2unola113 The Isley Brothers were a established group with hit records ('Shout, Its your thang, This old heart of mine, Twist n Shout, Who's that lady') when Chris Jasper were in diapers. The unsung talent in the group was, Ernie Isley, drummer, bass and a heavenly electric guitar player, one of the greatest of all time. Ernie Isley wrote or co-wrote the majority of the Isley Brothers hit songs, but you have never heard Ernie try to take credit for the band success. Chris Jasper needs to thank his sister for marrying Rudolph Isley. Rudolph introduced him to his Brothers, and allow him to join the group.
