Ha! Nice to know there's other old timers out there just like me. I got mine for just running around the neighborhood. It's a nice break from my Mack truck when I'm home. I also tell people it's my urban assault/bug out vehicle. Most people laugh but I'm serious. Your Honda looks good and it gives me some ideas.
Nice looking scooter. I've done similar things with mine - basket, back rest, highway pegs, etc. I did put a handlebar mounted Spitfire windscreen on it. That makes a difference on winter riding. Realistically I have as much fun riding this around as I ever had with any of the "real" motorcycles I've had in the past.
I find myself torn on warm days between the Harley and this little scooter. I love just tooling around the neighborhoods near my house and my big bike is not good for that. I have more pure, grinning fun on the scooter to be honest. We just bought my wife a Coastal Blue Honda Metro 2019. She is in love too.
Killer mods there Matthew! I just picked up a pair of these motorbikes to make into bug-out vehicles. I like how you repurposed that old tank bag for an under the seat bag. Enjoy your ruckus man.
You should have done vids on a street errand trip or off road trail , one of the coolest ruckus I’ve seen and thank goodness it’s not another stretched one, these are “working mans poor mans modern day Toyota pickup” .
I love your set up especially that bike rack. With the gas prices, I’m thinking of getting a ruckus to just cruise around town and not use my car so much.
*I like the rear-rack, and the 'freeway bar' is nice but needs hinges to 'fold-up' the peg portions so they don't protrude* *I can live without the 'stickers' and 'skull & crossbones' and all that* *I can recommend a 'shorty wind-screen' like my '08 Metropolitan has that I installed...it's worth a permanent 1.5-mph increase in top-end for $77 to $85 or so and it will fit a 'Ruck' with no mods needed*
The ruckus was always one of my favorite scooters although I’ve owned numerous zumas mainly due to the 125 displacement I always said if there was a ruckus 125 I would’ve gotten it no hesitation (I’m a Honda lover)
Nice job practical updates that look darn nice the older I get the weight becomes an issue to I just sold my flhtci classic talk about hard .good video. Thanks
Hi Matthew, I live in Allen TX, actually down the street from where the Harley Davidson shop was by McDermott. I didn't think that you needed to register and license the Ruckus because it's 49cc. I just figured that you needed insurance on it and that was it. I'm only bringing this up because i'm originally from AR and had a Ruckus when I was younger. Didn't register it or license it...just had insurance. Is it required in TX that you have to register and license the Ruckus or was that something you just wanted to do? Also...awesome mods and addons sir.
Yes, unfortunately you have to register and inspect the ruckus to ride in on streets. The inspections and insurance are cheap. Still a bit of a pain to do it every year. I love the thing though. Thanks for the comments.
Love what you did! But.... the wooden highway peg is dangerous if you need to put your foot down in an emergency. Spring loaded pegs are safest. Keep the Ruckus Pilot unharmed! :)
I’m going to go out on a ledge and guarantee somebody has already commented that your flag should probably be the other direction… I personally don’t give a shit but people freak out on that on the Internet lol
Hi, I have two questions. How come your American flag sticker is has no red? And, how come you have a Marvel character symbol on your bike? Cool Ruckus, but those details confuse me.
@@matthewcampbell930 our colors don't retreat. Don't matter if it's on my uniform or your scooter. It's a good build ya did, but as a vet, that bothers me.
2326TX well, I appreciate your opinion. I’m a vet as well. U.S.Army Infantry. Thank you for your service. If I ever ride this scooter into combat, I’ll consider changing it.
I got a 2020 ruckus I’m keeping it stock except maybe the pulley thing replaced so it can go 10mph faster with one upgrade and not a major part other then that just racks and under seat storage
I like to see stuff like that more than the lowered and stretched ones I guess us old dudes are practical
Thanks man! I like that the kids are having fun on two wheels, but I don't have that type of interests. This suits me just fine! Thanks for watching!
Since you made highway pegs for yours like I did for mine if you really want to add some cargo capacity wedge a milk crate on the floor
@@whitechrist8700 Great idea. I might try that!

Love all the little mods you added to increase the bike's cargo capacity.
Great conversion keep posting more .
Slick little scooter, very cool.
Thanks, Man!

Mine is a my daily driver rain or shine. Not much rain in Vegas. Been on a group ride to Pahrump and to the North end of Lake Mead without a hitch.
That's awesome! I love to hear of people who use the Ruck as a daily. Very cool!
Awesome build. Think I picked up a idea for my scoot scoot ruckus.

This is awesome i wish more people would build their ruckus like this im tired of seeing the low and long look
Hey man nice little ride... easy mods... I like it 👍
👍 Good video.
100% on using what's on hand to improve things.

Awesome looking ruckus 🤙🙂
Very creative, keep on scootin!🤘🏽🔥🔥🔥
Fantastic job
Great placement for the speaker!
I also have a Fat Bob, first generation 2009.
Bought a 2011 Speed Triple and looking for a Ruckus.
All my bikes will have dual headlights,l,, lol
Nice rig for sure.
Pretty Cool, The back tote is not available anymore, shame I would have liked that on mine
excellent, nice build sir
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
Great vid!
Could you update the video description to say where you got all of those awesome accessories and mods please?
I like the highway bars. I'm not comfortable with the foot position on small scooters.
So you basically just bolt a bar into the existing 2 holes?
Yes. Very simple. Just used the existing bolts.
Very nice well done.
I like it!
Nice!
Nice deal man. Keep going with it man. You're only as old as your unfinished projects. Lol.
Thank you! I agree!
man I want one of those but even used ones are 3000 bucks here
115 mpg !
😁😁😁👍muy bueno lo quiero 1-para mi...
Adonde se compra?.....

What is the small little bag on the handlebar closest to you, that would work nice
Amazing! Wow.
Thank you!
Nice pattern paint how'd you get that done ? Please let me know thanks
Nice u.a.r.!!
Do you think it's possible to put big saddle bags on the sides of the back or would that be too heavy with all those groceries?
You could do it. This thing is stout. I’m 200lbs and carry gear too. It will do it.

They have. I am a vet and didn’t think about it when I put it in. I should change it. Thanks.
Where you buying your rear rack ?
Hi, I have two questions.
How come your American flag sticker is has no red?
And, how come you have a Marvel character symbol on your bike?
Cool Ruckus, but those details confuse me.
This particular American flag is a black and white version. Also, the big sticker is a Cobra sticker from G.I. Joe.
👋👍🙂🇸🇪
Stealing the pegs idea !
Did you do it? It works so well!
Your flag is backwards.
2326TX I figure it is not on a uniform so it’s okay.
