How can you fight peacefully?
It was Kayiira's UFM attacks from 1981-82 which made Obote realize the guerrillas were a serious force and led to the Panda Garis. But UFM was sabotaged by combination of NRA and Obote. UFM was already operating as battalions by 1982 while NRA was still operating in companies. Although NRA was sabotaging UFM, Kayiira didnt have the liberty to retaliate against NRA because 1.) M7 was hiding behind Yusuf Lule 2.) He didnt want the guerrilla forces fighting each other in Buganda, his goal was to remove the Obote junta not to capture power.
thanks you so much
@@AkajjaObunaku good show btw. A lot of people dont know these things that you're highlighting. Kayiira played a huge role but had a bigger task ahead of him because his own "friends" in the NRA were fighting him as well. Giving away his locations to Obote as well as trying to steal his guns.
Yes that's the truth.
Kayiira was good at mobilizing resources, raising funds and logistics. He had international connections. His was a more solid organisation but NRA time to time kept infiltrating, sabotaging and robbing him of supplies.
But he was a dissorganised soldier or commander
@@user-rz4lf8gu8u actually his outfit was a much better fighter. His army better trained and better equipped very good at maneuvers. He captured large chunks of Kampala. He just made the mistake of trusting the wrong people that includes Museveni...Just like the Okellos did.
ono byayogera tabimanyi kayiira olutalo lwamulema nagenda mu USA
