I hate how news sources try to make the damage seem so much more extreme than it is. I drove across Pinellas for 2 hours today and the more extreme damage I found was a knocked over fense and some flooding around the Anclote.
There was a 35 ft sailboat on bay pines blvd yesterday jammed up where the bridge meets the road It just depends where you are. But yes for the most part (not including the barrier islands) most everyone here got off lightly.
It’s all for views. Your right it’s very annoying.. look how the storm I’m California turned out… it wasn’t even that extreme 🙄🙄🙄
They don't get it it's going to happen again it's poor design and it's too close to the water

Its funny some people, especially those from out of state; who think we wont just raise the elevation by importing more land to terraform with. Thats what the indiginous Tocobagan people did 1000 years ago; thats what all those developers did after WW2 and thats exactly what we are going to do again. Florida is a very special place that is worth the effort. Not everyone understands that.
Florida going underwater. People might aswell start using boats as cars.
I live in pinellas, it’s fine here lmao
This storm created very little to no damage. Stop lying. Tampa is a port city and was created to drain properly.
Yet this video is about Pinellas county which is not Tampa (Hillsborough County). Facts.
this was pinellas county not tampa
@@ShododaanSame difference.
Keep wading in that water....
