At some point i think many dimmu borgir songs would have to somehow enter the classical music hall of fame. At least in their orchestral form. Probably the best classical pieces of this god forsaken century, and nobody knows anything about them.
It's so ironic that so many musical masterpieces have been created by a band that most "musicians" wouldn't even take seriously.
Virtually indistinguishable from the works of some of the best composers of the late 19th century (Saint-Saens, Brahms, et. al.).
Haters can hate away, but these guys are brilliant.

You have, Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Mozart, Handel, Grieg, Mendelsson, and Dimmu Borgir.
The best thing to come from music is Rock/Metal & Classical music, mix those together, and you have the ultimate music experience.
I would say that Dimmu borgir music is in Mussorgskij style. Very beautiful!
They should release the orchestral recordings only, as a bonus CD!
There is no end to how magnificent this sounds. A broad tribute to the deft skill of the original artist's degree of composition.
and yet so many people call metal only horrible noise, they just don't understand how colorful and how big varieties metal songs can have. This is a good example. This version thought is easier for an average music listener to understand.
The best orchestral music in this century are either composed by Symphonic Metal bands like Dimmu or Nightwish, and some film music composers.
