As Mexican I must say , churros are Spanish dessert, although we eat them very often and pretty common in Mexico. Our national dessert is the three milk cake (pastel de tres leches) and Capirotada.

Moroccan here. Baklava is not moroccan, it's actually very rare to see it in Morocco. We have many very popular desserts but that's not one of them.

Azerbaijani here. In fact, we have several types of baklava: Baku baklava , Ganja baklava, Sheki baklava, Guba baklava. Besides, we have shekerbura, nazik, halva, rulet, koke, kata, shirin gogal, feseli, qatlama, firni, makhara and so on. But the distinct Azeri sweet is Absheron pie.

Aussie here - yes, lamingtons are great, but why are they blue in the picture, lol? (For those unfamiliar with the humble lamo, it's a square of cake dipped in chocolate and rolled in dessicated coconut.) However, may I suggest another great Aussie fave, not sure if many people OS have tried it - Chocolate Ripple Cake! Only 2 ingredients, choc ripple bikkies and whipped cream (3 if you want to add a little jam!) If I've piqued your interest, I am sure there are CZcams videos on how to make this easy yummy no-bake Aussie cake (I have one every birthday!)

My family is Chinese-Jamaican. For dessert we eat rum cake. There are other desserts that I grew up on. Apple pie, sweet potato pie; half of my family members are from the southern USA.

In Algeria, we have the most beautiful and delicious sweets, and they rank second in the world Morocco does not have baklava, it is Algerian-Turkish.
Yes, the black forest cake is an iconic dish here in Germany and it's delicious. But we would never eat it as a dessert after dinner or lunch. It's much more popular served in the afternoon with a cup of coffee as it's own small meal. Like the Britsh have with their tea time.

In germany we eat after dinner Fürst-pückler-Eis traditionelle (ice cream, strawberry-chocolate-vanilla specialty from princ pückler from muskau saxony east germany)
Hungarian desserts include the beigli( either filled with poppy seeds, or ground wallnuts, perfectly legal in Hungary), the filled dumplings either with sweetened cottage cheese or apricot/plum jam. Edit: I forgot to mention "Túró Rudi"( sweetened cottage cheese coated with dark chocolate, really popular here.)

Los churros son españoles, pero los comememos muchisimo en Mexico, hay en Mexico otros postres como Jericallas una especie de flan, Capirotada es un pan con nueces y pasas y crema de leche, pastel de 3 leches tambien es muy comun, tambien el arroz con leche, pero creeo tambien es español, tambien esta el pastel de elote.

Most of the original forms are from the US or Europe. Although they are not desserts, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, udon, ramen, curry, yakiniku, salted pollack roe and tonkatsu are all foods that began with neighboring countries or Western traditional dishes until 100 years ago
