- In depth view of the all new and very innovative 2014/2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W 205 C-Klasse) as the C220 BlueTEC with a 2.1 liter diesel (170hp, 400Nm) and 7G-Tronic Plus transmission. My special thanks go to the Torpedo Garage in Kaiserslautern that let me film this car in such detail. This particular one comes in the optional AVANTGARDE trim that features 17 inch alloys a lowered agility control suspension with adaptive dampers an the awesome new COMAND Online infotainment system. Very similar to the new S-Class that I have tested a few weeks ago this C-Class in my opinion will be the benchmark for its class because the design and technology inside are brought to a new level if you compare it to the current A4 or even the F30 3-series. WOW! this one has just set a new benchmark in its class. The interior looks very precious, and yet the entire bodyworks are fantastic. Also we've got tons of ultimate technologies. Now seriously I can't wait to see the coupè version. This car is the ultimate sedan in my opinion.

In the end went with an e220 bluetec so can't comment unfortunately! Although the water pump went the other week, luckily was covered with warranty but have now part exchanged the merc to get a BMW 520 d m sport and so far I am loving it :)

First car that i have not had to fix all the time😅 had it for 6 years now and 0 problems wich is insane since my other cars didnt even get 1 year without some problem

Isnt there a c-class with normal shift lever?.. i cant seem to find any videos with that model
the manual shift is known for being shit on mercedes
ryan1540 I have a Mk 1 & 2 c class both auto and worked in a merc garage where I got to drive the manual versions. The manual felt really good imo,, it's a smooth box and it makes the car feel much faster. Compared to my c200 auto the manual with the same engine size just flies in comparison. I don't know what a bad manual feels like, the ones I've used have all been fine from rovers & fords to mercs and beamers. It's not box but the driver lacking clutch control.
I only put that comment from what i've heard from reviews. I pick my w204 facelift c class c220 auto tomorrow =)

Gunzee Got it now, Absolutley love it. I didnt get a brand new one its a sport with bi xenon and all the other extra's. Totally awesome!

Finally, since 1994 the first nice 'baby-benz', inside and out! Just don't understand, why the normal versions have to come with this ugly 'Lorry-Truck grill badge' and not with the classical Mercedes-Benz grille, well known from the first versions of 190 W201 baby-benz on?
It does.. This car has the AMG sport grille, but the standard grille is the classic Mercedes crome grille with a three-pointed star on the bonnet :)

Car looks fantastic, but it should be more compact to compete with the 3 Series and A4, otherwise it's almost an E-Class
About 10cm shorter, and 5cm narrower would make it spot on

It takes too long for situations to get out of way or overtake to pick up speed even in sports plus mode and my is remapped to safe 2015 horses and forgot how mych torque
Other than that if getting it suspension arms on front go and there is 4 of them 🤣buttons fall off on window contro plus need wynn's gold formula regulary or injector cleaner as you dont want them to fail

+kruff39 Indeed, that screen does not look really good, nevertheless better than in some other cars.
But 170 hp is enough, it's more about torque not hp. C220 has 400 nm, the new A4 has a 2l engine with 190 hp and 400 nm of torque, the C Class accelerates faster than the A4

The fake exhaust pipes make this model feel like a cheap chinese replica. Disgusting for a car that costs more than 50k.
these are not fake exhaust these are just chromes the real fake ones are in the c class amg
