Those where great old machines, they where the best of there time. I still would take a older B Series 953 or 963 over a new machine. A good running one would out put the newer Electronic machines.
Use to run 953, 963 and 973 cats. My favorite was the Komatsu D66. Loved that machine. Shame they stopped making them. I owned a Case 1150B; liked that one too!
The engine lugs down to stall when buried in the heap !!!!!!!!!!!- Where as the Front engined Power shift 955/ 977 Engines would keep on singing at full revs !!!!. Not sure the rear engined versions are much improvement tbh !!! Front Engined 955 and 977 looked waay easier on the eye also
