1971 onwards, Omega HQ showcased several Omega wristwatches to the Soviet-Russian spaceflight program and the Flightmaster was among the first Omega wristwatches worn by Russian cosmonauts (e.g. Soyuz 14 in July 1974 and Soyuz 21 in July 1976). It was also worn by the cosmonauts during Apollo-Soyuz Test Project training activities. In July 1992, Italian astronaut Franco Malerba wore an Omega Flightmaster onboard Space Shuttle Atlantis mission STS-46 ...
Alexei Leonov was often seen in photos wearing his Omega Flightmaster. Although the Speedmaster Professional was officially selected by NASA, Omega always felt the need to design an actual pilot/astronaut watch, and this eventually evolved into the Z-33. www.hodinkee.com/articles/remembering-cosmonaut-alexey-leonov-watches

Definitely an interesting collectable vintage omega and I have to agree they are hard to find in great condition, often when they’ve been polished due to the unique case shape the watch tends to come off second best, loosing its unique factory finishing. Cheers mate.
Awesome video as always! Cam, I'd love to see a video with your personal collection of watches, I think that would make a great video for the channel :) Cheers
Very cool. I have the same model, but mine's an early c911, with the slimmer c910 case. Same "grey" dial, and yellow hands (told those were special order?) Fully restored by Omega. Mine has the South American-specific bracelet. Cost a pretty penny to send to Omega Bienne, and then back, but worth it, especially as they give back the old parts
Have the 910 with yellow hands, prefer it to the 911 as the case is not as thick. The 24 hand is great when travelling as I set the blue hand to my local time zone thus letting me know my home time is am or PM.

I have a 911 variant with the slimmer c910 case. Fully restored by Omega. Yellow hands as well
There is a reference 145.026, before the 145.036, the difference between the reference 145.026 and the 145.036 is the tightness under water
Looks more to me like a Boeing 707 engraving. Note the HF antenna on the tail. The DC8 didn't have one there.
You should design a watch..i think you would kill it..thanks 👍
