  • Once I get the machine and everything mounted I'll do a follow-up video as there's still some things I'm working through such as how to get all 4 gas cans positioned (Could only get 3 without further mods in the video). I'll also get the linq locks mounted to the tool box with spacers in a follow-up vid.
PART 2: • Seadoo Linq tool box /...
One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that you can still use the base mounts as-is without cutting. To do this you'll need to find 1" rubber spacers to support the edges of the tool box as it will balance on top the mounts (won't sit cleanly inside unless you cut them). The linq locks will also hang below the cooler when you set it on the ground or beach. This was the reason I seen others putting spacers on the bottom of the cooler. Cutting the mounts allows it to sit flat on back of ski which should be less stress on the mounting system overall and will mount higher up on the box so the locks will clear ground / beach when removed.
More vids to come once I get the machine. I hope this helps anyone looking for options. If someone comes up with something else I'd love to see it!

Linq base for Trixx 3Up (other models will need different kit if it didn't come from the factory): www.amazon.com/Sea-Doo-Spark-...

Linq mounts (spare to put back to factory since I cut the originals) : www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09...

Great design! I'm going to post the pvc rack that I built for a small cooler. Until you start this project I don't think you can appreciate the limitations that you are up against. I like the way you approached this. Someone could insulate that box quite easily too, if they wanted to use it for cooler only. Nice job! Can't wait to see it complete.

How waterproof did the lid on that box end up being?

I am looking to follow your installation, however "The Link Base Plate" is not shown in your link on Amazon, It only shows the two Link attachments (End Pieces), I want to make sure I get the one with the base Plate attachment, can you help. Thanks

Looking forward to seeing how this works. Did you buy the metal plate and black pieces because the ski you bought doesn't already have the linq brackets?

Correct. The Trixx doesn't come with the linq system preinstalled.

Hey. I just bought the tool box and brackets to do exactly the same. Did you do the follow-up videos? Anything else you noticed during the final installation?

My skis are expected to arrive mid May. When I do the install, I will do a follow-up video.

Does your ski have a flat surface, if not there may be some challenges here.
