I really love the talent of the voice actors in this series. Like, I would never guess that Goku/Gohan's voice actor is British, or that the Narrator and Frieza are voiced by the same person, or that Piccolo, Mr Popo, Vegeta, and Krillin (among a number of others) share a voice actor as well. They are REALLY good.
And to add to that, the original voice for Roshi (the one here) is the same voice actor as Goku/Gohan and the later voice actor for Roshi is the same one for Piccolo, Vegeta, and the others.

Oh wow, we wouldn’t have guessed they were British either 😯 although most non American actors do a good job with the accent. Think Tom Hardy is only one who when I first saw him in Avatar I was like, “why does this guy sound like he is trying to do an American accent?”
Senzu Beans are going to be more commonly used going forward. Basically instant full heals, they can heal bodies so effectively that they can even patch up entire fist-sized holes in the body. A fun thing to keep in mind right now is power levels for the purposes of character scaling. Power levels become less important after this season, in fact power levels being unreliable is actually a plot point in the canon show, but during Season 2 it is basically used as a measuring stick. For example our current character leaderboard is: Frieza = Unrevealed, but ridiculously high Vegeta = 24,000 Cui = 18,000 Krillin = 1,850 Gohan = 1,800 I forgot how many mom jokes were in this episode, wow. Anyway no book this week, enjoyed the reaction as usual and I'm so happy we've finally arrived. Looking forward to so many upcoming episodes!

And yet the mystery number on Frieza continues to just stay above them, bringing that mentality of "okay so just how strong is this guy?" until the inevitable showdown breaks out. XD

@5:42 Nimbus is the cloud Goku rides on and was given to him as a child by Master Roshi. When summoned, the cloud is always on time no matter from where or what distance Goku calls from and will always catch him even if he’s falling from the sky. The sound of Goku crashing into the cars below as a result of Nimbus being late, was too funny! 😂
Saiyans getting a powerup upon recovering from near death is canon and is called a Zenkai boost. While you shouldn't give power levels too much value (Akira Toriyama himself has mocked the idea of strict power levels multiple times) Vegeta's power level rose from 18 000 to 24 000 from the zenkai boost. So the boost while significant, isn't really enough to be considered a full transform of a character. I think it's mostly used to just a story mechanic to help keep characters relevant even if they were beaten once. Afterall, with the boost you can justify an opposite result in a rematch if you wanted to. And so we are one step further towards the appearance of the Space Duck.
Also just saying..(hehe saiyan) That one Freeza soldier kicked in the water, along with that other dude, that was technially Gohans first kill ☝ He is still 5, just remember that ^^

DBZ abridged is great because it follows the story line so people who haven't seen the the original can talk about Dragon Ball Z with people who haven't seen DBZ abridged and they won't even know they saw different shows.

Honestly thought the Frieza Saga was the best in the original series. It was the one where you had this intense game of cat and mouse in it whereas the rest of them where either just that again or training for 1 big fight. They were all still good but this 1 was special.
