I think the filler breaks up the plot of the challenge too much. Maybe they could have more relevant character development within the challenge so the audience doesn't get lost as easily.
I can agree with you. The scene where Roboty was in that bridge-waterfall area during the jawbreaker challenge was really confusing to me. During challenges, they should only focus on the challenge, but I do not mind having character-based scenes before the challenge.
Filler by definition is an episode that doesn't advance the plot. You can have character development in a filler episode but if it doesn't advance the plot then it's filler.
Personally, I wouldn't mind a higher wait time in between episodes, and the people that complain underestimate the amount of work it takes to create something as good as this!

With episode 2, you discover things you like and don't like and ways on how to improve them. With episode 3, you tackle those things and you're [mostly] proud of the result. With episode 4, you continue to find new things that should be changed. and so forth. You're doing great ! But I'm always glad to see improvement in even the littlest ways. Good luck. It isnt filler, it's more content that gives every character more to like or hate about them. We want to watch different people fight to win, not an animated version of a marble race.
