So many patients and even physicians are unaware of the serious systemic effects of Sjogren's. In 2013, well before my Sjogren diagnosis I began experiencing bouts of shortness of breath, chest pain, and heart palpitations. I sought care on two separate occasions with two different cardiologists. Neither could figure out what was wrong. In 2020 after my Sjogren diagnosis, I was referred to a pulmonologist. My chest X-ray and high resolution chest CT were both normal, but after pulmonary function tests I was diagnosed with asthma. A year later the pulmonologist recommended a cardiac echo. It was abnormal. Last October after a right and left heart cath I finally had answers. I was diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension associated with Sjogren's. Needless to say, the past year has been challenging and interesting! All Sjogren's patients should educate themselves about the serious pulmonary risks associated with the disease.

The reflux and digestive problems are literally killing me slowly, the acid literally goes up into my sinuses, I've got Barretts Esophagus, my stomach is constantly cramping and severe construction. None of the doctors I have seen acknowledge that this is happening. And this cough. Where can. I find doctors that recognize and treat this..??

I had severe nausea and frequent vomiting for years. After being scoped the specialist concluded it was due to Sjögrens but offered no solutions. Over time the symptoms have lessened greatly. However, I now have other isssues. Getting help is challenging.

@@lozifsantana1743 I took a prescription drug called omeprazole. I still take it. The daily, extreme, nausea is gone. I still get a bit of nausea sometimes. I could increase the omeprazole but I'd rather not be taking it at all.

Wow! Another great video acknowledging the various issues we get along with Sjögren's. Thank you!
I can relate to most of the issues you mentioned. I've had Sjögren's for two decades.

Last week I have been diagnosed with Sjogren disease. I am having a dry cough for about 6 months. Could the coughs be caused by Sjogren?
