- This is the 1st video of the Turbo optima that will be my entry into the 2024 lakeland classic. Here we will unbox and build the car. Before we fit the Pukka parts carbon chassis. Along with a few other hop ups to take her up anothet level.

It is a fantastic build and everything snaps into place. I love all the gold too! That said it is going to look sick with all the carbon on there too! Have fun with, I am sure you will love the drive!
Yeah, it seems a shame to cover the gold up, or race it. But needs to earn a place on the shelf 😂
That's my favourite vintage build of all. It's stunning and the carbon goes really well with the gold.
I have to agree, went together so well. And the gold just pops. But its time to get it ready to do battle at the lakeland classic 😎 wont look as bling if its raining 😂

More Kyosho. Brilliant. I think that single spider axle set up is for better rear end rotation, the diff reacts faster.

If I do remember correctly the manual is wrong with 1 screw around the front shock mount area.
Didnt notice anything ? But prob have to rip it apart to fit the carbon on 😂
You’re right about the chain, you can order one if you really want to go old school. Oddly the standard Optima has the chain in the kit as well as the belt and it’s cheaper. I’m very lucky to have both versions of the Optima and I run the standard a lot as it’s a fabulous performer. How do you get that much front end grip in a 4 wheel drive buggy????
I had them tyres on my optima mid, was magga twitchy, this may need a bit more front end as its rear motor. Find out soon 👍
I can remember racing you at kendal leisure centre rl, must of been 1990/91. Do you remember that meeting? Thing it was barrow vs kendal club comp
Not off top of my head, but cant remember a lot from back then 😂 interclub meets where great back then, was normally on a field so no one had track advantage 😎

@@Ianlfcm3 yeah, we still up at canal head, on the old rugby field, massive tracks 😁 i only know a few that still do a bit of rc. Andrew ball and karl norris, but he does more 1/5 scale i think it is now ?
@lo2713 not canal head I remember racing on a field right by the river. Canal head was brilliant that I remember really well. Wish my lad didn't play rugby on a Sunday am 😞. I'll be at a meeting at some point this year tho . Great work with the channel love ya content 👏
