Did mine this morning with Cobb County in 1:45. I’m 41 y/o 💪🏾.
The fact that he did the course in under a minute and six seconds effortlessly is giving me “I CAN DO THIS” vibes 😅😅😅
I ran the course full speed today and the fastest I did was 1:30 the only thing that tired me out was the dummy drag that shit really is 160lbs 😂

@@studderboxhoewahh4934 use your legs don’t lift with your upper body start doing squats they will help you build leg strength leading up to it as I said before THAT DUMMY IS HEAVY ASF if your not prepared

@@studderboxhoewahh4934 I say start with 25 reps 5 sets then increase remember this is bare minimum they are asking us to complete at the academy it’s X2

It’s simply, but does involve a lot of cardio.
Do not STOP keep going even if you mess up.
Y’all I’m 6ft and 290lbs. I’m a big boy.. If I can do it, anyone else smaller than me should be able to, too.

Harder than it looks. Definitely conserve your energy when doing this course, and FYI the dummy is pretty heavy

It wasn't extremely difficult
With a little practice you can get it.
Just did my test on April 12th. I passed with a time of 1:38. Afterwards was an interview. Afterwards, you wait to be connected to an investigator. If you need to take an accuplacer, they’ll set you up with one. Then you wait to take your medical, psychological, written exam and clinical interview.
How was the interview ?
Wats up battle you took yours right before me I was tall guy who was running like I wasn’t trying lol 😂 but I really was I got a 1:30 but I seen a lot of people underestimate that test when we took it

@@gerjerwal two multiple choice tests with about 90-150 questions on each one if I remember correctly. Then you meet with the psychiatrist.

@@leslietovar9627 I was too! Not going to lie, some people didn’t make it but mostly because they were too out of shape or they had a bit of a disability which stopped them from being able to jump. But just remember to breathe and you’ll be fine!
Question, is there a place to practice? Where am I going to find a window or fence to practice climbing?
@@ladyj08me honestly you really can’t. You can try calling around because some counties have an outdoor course, but most don’t. But in my opinion, the door is much easier than the fence. I had zero issues with it.

I am thinking about becoming an officer at my location. Do we get some warmup tries before the final test? I am about 34, but so far what I see is easy. I might take it slow for the hurdles and then burst sprint for the lap.
Mine is Monday. My nerves are shot. Been exercising for 2 months evey morning at 4am. Bike and jogs. Luckily, my local SO has one set up and they were gracious enough to allow me to use it. 1st time 255, 2nd (two days later) 231 and the 3rd 211. Hoping to trim that down in the next 5 days. Yall say a prayer for me. I need this! Bad!! I been busting my ass!!!!!!!! 44 seconds in 3 weeks of running it. Not too bad if you ask me.

I’ve done it before in South Georgia during the summer outside. If you give it all you got it will leave you out of breath.
Damn why doesn’t Michigan does this course…so many want it but that test they have in michigan sucks.
This is wonderful but the one problem I have is CNN showing the minor’s picture in their story. We know all too well how cruel kids can be, and how ignorant some grown-ups are these days. To God be the glory for such a generous act of kindness. May God continue to protect this officer and bless this family with jobs and stability.
I finished in 4 minutes today my biggest struggle was the fence and window we had to run 2 laps around the parameter I feel I need to do some training for my next opportunity but I know I can do it

Wow the physical tests for Fire Department vs Police Department are vastly different.
This looks easy compared to the pt test with georgia department of public safety. We had push-ups, sit ups, and a 1.5 miles run.
Im glad that run is not required, I think 1.5 miles is ridiculous. Coast Guard requires it too.

I did this Friday, I didn’t make the time, so I have one more shot at it, hopefully I’ll get it then. My legs gave out on my last lap around😔
Dont get discouraged! Just get into a routine of working out. Do lots of cardio, work out your legs(!!!), and work out your arms. Trust me, I get what you're saying. After i drug that dummy, i was literally dragging my left leg that last lap. (I took the same pat for another dept)

Update: Completed it in 1:26.
I lost my balance and stumbled up and down the stairs, knocked over the low crawl hurdle, and landed face first attempting the fence jump.
Quite embarrassing, but I passed.

My test in NYC as a female in the 1980 was harder then this not saying this aint hard bc it definitely challenging.....I had jump a high wall not a gate had to run up several flight stairs in addition to dragging the dummy, and running few laps in the gym cant remember if anything else... I passed the agility test but not my family scrutiny. My then husband and family felt was too polite a person and wanted to know if I would tell the criminal to pretty please stop. 😂😂😂maybe they saved my life or maybe they could used more polite officers who knows but part of me still wishes that I had been police officer with caine units or maybe gone on to be a detective......either way became a nurse and moved around a lot heavier people than that dummy lol 😂😂😂😂 and they were not quiet like the dummy so it was harder lol
I never hopped a fence in my life so I know I won't pass just because of that part! it be just my luck that I try to jump it and end up falling over it smh

this is just so you can get in the academy... once in the academy you will train and get tested in other areas. example: academics, driving, and shooting. And yes, if your interested in joining APD, start running now it will definetely help.
Simply put, this is the NEW standard to get into most agencies in Georgia. There is no endurance portion to get in. HOWEVER, like the person above me stated, once hired, you will be REQUIRED to run 1.5 miles in under like 14 minutes and a handful of other things to pass and continue with APD. If you can not pass the run and those other requirements, you get the boot. Dont worry though, just start running now and you'll get it by the time you're hired :) You willl train with a bunch of others before they tell you to pass the test, or get the boot.

@@malachishakur Atlanta police officers can make over 100,000 a year working extra jobs if they put in the work while marta is stuck at one salary
I hate to be negative. But I’m extremely surprised on how easy this is to be part of law enforcement. It’s almost laughable.

I just did this on Friday 3/19/21 it was easy I messed up and still finished at time of 1:43 seconds you can do it.

@@malachishakur Thabks have to give them my sat scores for some reason they haven’t got them from my school once they get that in two weeks after I guess reviewing everything I will hear from a background investigator for another full interview.
