I honestly wish I bought like 5 sets of these for all my decks I love them so much!

@BlightwidowMTG I could definitely see that, they're gorgeous cards. I'd probably like them even more if I played Commander on a regular basis 😂

Did you buy those packs recently or are just opening them now. Sorry if you said in the video I had to watch on silent. If you did just buy them would you mind sharing where?

@BlightwidowMTG I'm just opening them now, I do a weekly series called Secret Lair Sunday where I open a playset of a Secret Lair in all of its versions. The corresponding non-Foil version of this Secret Lair was episode 150 that was released the same day.
I bought them directly from WotC on the Secret Lair site when they were initially on sale.
The best places I've found to get out of print Secret Lairs are TCGPlayer, eBay, and occasionally Facebook trade groups, but I also highly prefer buying sealed items.

50$ for those???? Those cards are worthless? Wizards lost their minds

@NekoSauce I think they were $40 each, but I completely agree that the value just isn't there on Secret Lair drops. On the bright side, they look really cool.

The Sol Ring alone goes for 40$, so no, they haven't lost their mind. And this wasn't even limited.

@Sabo69 fair enough, and good point. I don't sell anything, and I don't keep track of the price of cards I already have a playset of.
It's a pretty sweet looking Sol Ring too.

You just like didn’t check the prices of these cards before commenting or?

@HogLordSupreme correct. If WotC supposedly doesn't take into account the secondary market when pricing Secret Lairs, then we're evaluating them by different metrics.
@NekoSauce has a valid point in that these are plentiful cards on their own, so the value would be coming from the desirably of the different design, which is completely unknown at time of purchase. These became more valuable afterwards because they were desirable designs, not because of the specific card.
