    Her eyes just glow. And she's got a beautiful perspective of things. And you can tell she does fall in love a bit with everyone because you can see the moment it happened here with "each mark is a sentence to the story"
    this was beautiful

    Her journey of self discovery and growth is beautiful to see, you can tell her experiences have shaped her into a wonderful, accepting, non judgemental person.
    Could listen to her talk self-philosophy for ages.
    Another great entry 😊

    Such a treasure of a sketchbook, and she has a very eloquent and peaceful/mindful air about her ☺ I love what you guys capture of these amazing humans who just happen to be amazing artists as well!

    My jaw dropped when she said her husband was Boulet. He's my favorite French comic artist, everyone should read what he posts online, it's pure genius !

    Love how Natalie was able to recognize the interviewer in the sketchbook while she was flipping through it with only his mannerisms since the face wasn’t shown. That in my opinion really shows her observation skills

    Natalie, it was great seeing you here! :) Love your sketchbook, thoughts, advice, and tips ! and i agree with you on drawing naked people in my sketchbook, i do that too i love people as well, and i just get nervous for people who will look at my drawings because i have no idea what they will think or may start judging me, but i draw people in general and naked people because i just love humans in general, Also agree with you on drawing portrait of people - i fall in love with them as a person, maybe there is a certain way they laugh, walk, their eyes, them as a person, which is why i draw them. Loved this Natalie, thanks for sharing your thoughts and Drawings
    For people who have not seen her Disney Animation Short yet, highly recommend it - "Far From the Tree" and "Exchange Student."

    Maybe a good idea for a shot to add to your repertoire: buy a medical camera and shove it way into the subject's nose. That way you get the ultimate close-up shot. Whoever is directing this needs to chill. It's been years of nose hairs by now. We get it. No offense....love the videos and thank you for the content.

  • @shubhajitchakraborty668

    this sketchbook series seriously could have been so much better, if the camera person and editor worked a bit sensibly. Just jump cut from the sketches to the persons' faces make it so jerky, and even instils irritation..when the viewers are watching sketches, it means they are serious about them, the detailing, proportions, ideas, concepts etc. but the camera is more interested in artists' faces..which is basically irrelevant..who cares about the expression of artists..

  • @lunayen
    @lunayen Před 2 lety

    Could you please focus more on the sketchbooks and less on people's faces? The constant jumpshots are really frustrating, specially when the series is called "the sketchbook series" and the viewer can barely see the the star of the show.

  • @hypno5690
    @hypno5690 Před 2 lety

    She's pretty and seems nice but frankly a mediocre artist.

    • @ParkerAstoria
      @ParkerAstoria Před 2 lety +3

      well, she said in the video she doesn't think she'll ever be the best draftsman. i think you are getting 'artist' confused with 'draftsman' - she works in story in animation, and they put more value on gesture, and clearly getting across the idea and emotion of the subject, and in my opinion she is one of the best in that regard
