I put together this short nerdy video to enlighten my fellow guitarists as I don't think I've ever seen this riff played the same way it sounds on the original track ;)
Resurecting this for a request. Posible to break down the fill? Newb patrol trying to learn something fun and short. Love the vid, thanks for the break down you already did.
Hi, you can find the exact tabs for it on ultimate guitar, at least it's what I used to learn it. I should probably redo the tutorial since I have progressed a lot everywhere as far as making videos go.
@7StringsOfCharles Thank you, will check. Video was rad. Focused more on the song than on you, while still having your personality and ability be showcased. I thought it was /is a great vid. Cheers.
0:17 are you picking all the notes in this fill? 0:45 it's actually possible to put your phone speakers near the guitar pickups and hear all the notes sounding with distortion on the amp.
You can try to pick every note but it doesnt sound as accurate to me, if you hammer the note you get that percussive, bouncy sound that drives the accented notes perfectly fine, as you could hear in the short full mix snippets.
i don’t understand what you’re doing different from the one u said how most people play it. could u like explain cuz i’m a beginner and i wanna play it like how u do lol
Basically, it's about the right hand : you should do palm mute - open note - hammer on. Then this pattern is repeated etc. Don't be afraid to use the slow down function as well ! It's very useful.
It's stupidly hard to pull off, I may make a tutorial for it since people seem to be curious about it. In the meantime, the official UG tab for E1M1 is accurate on those little fills if you want to have a try at 'em
I think your on to something and get a better feel from it ... I would have liked to see the remainder section to see how you handle the key change the doesn't arrange along with the open strings.
Yeah, you have to resort to using the usual mute-mute-note for the fretted key change most likely. Ill come up with something when my lazy ass decides to cover the full song properly
Only video that shows the way how to play the riff

If i remember correctly, it's mostly economy picking. Not sure what you meant about the phone speaker part however :p
that was the original song at 0:45 lmao. he wasn’t putting his phone up to his guitar💀
This might be to late of a response but if you do put your phone speaker near the pick ups it will play on the amplifier
Nice ! Thanks for your tutorial ! 😍
Im so newbie to electro and u opened my eyes fr . But r u playing the first riff with only 1 string or am i blind :D
This is sick!
Nailed itttttt. 🤘🤘🤙🙏. Gets in the #Feels with the original vibe
Is there tabs for that little fill? You know the one
I used ultimate guitar's tabs, there is the official song tablature on there :)
The question I see everywhere but never that has a real answer.
@@7StringsOfCharles fk yeah , thanks buddy!
So, With legato - is it right?
May be full alternate picking?
It seems that melodic notes have accent. Accent you can make by picking, no legato.

@@7StringsOfCharles I think the reason it sounds that way isnt because of intentional accent but just due to midi sound limitations
