We spend the day at Warhammer World in Nottingham. We looked at the exhibitions, then had lunch, a game, painting and then the exhibition again (and licked up a few things from the huge shop!).
dad: "and over here kids you can see the mighty warriors of the imperium of man purging some heretics" kido: "but da-" dad: "did i heard some heresy?" kido: "god i love the emperor"
So... this is how the collection of Trazyn the Infinite looks like? Jokes apart, the place is absolutely breathtaking, all those minifigures and dioramas, including also the painting and feeding part... I hope to see this awesome museum someday. Take care all!
Mind blowing that , never mind the skill in creating each set ,but that each figure is painstakingly painted. Incredible and such patience. I stand and salute you.
I live (in the global scheme of things) fairly close. Really should go and check it out. That said I've been off warhammer for ten years now thanks to a methadone program (black library), don't wana start again.
Wondering about going, I’m a historical gamer but enjoyed playing DoW in early 2000s and can remember the very first ads for Citadel minis space marines in military modelling back in 1980. Nottingham is the nexus of wargaming.
I remember seeing the original Ultra Marines chapter they made, at the time it was awesome but this? This is next level s**t!! I so hope to be able to visit.
Funny, the dad is the most excited of the three, the boy is like "alright toy soldiers are kinda cool but I want my video games" and the girl is just an embodiment of boredom.
coolest dad ever bringing your kids there bro, id NEVER leave haha! if and when i ever have kids id LOVE to get them into mini wargaming. cheers from canada !
Its great that everyone can have a taste of whats there by seeing this vid but truthfully its not the same as being there in person. If you were thinking of heading to it and can, it is worth it, you can spend a whole day chilling easily.
So many cool dioramas. But sadly u couldn't clearly see (because of the lights) which was the faction which fought in the huge diorama. I think if I see correctly one were the Ultramarines but sadly I couldn't identify the chaos faction. I was really impressed that they also got a place where you can "play" with the tabletop figures. And they even got a workshop in there. Really cool
This is super impressive, just a ton of models and scenery, all superbly crafted and set up in really visceral tableaus where I can almost feel the ground shaking and hear the gutteral roaring. I would love to see this for myself. Thanks for sharing and taking all the effort to make the dioramas come out in their full. The only thing I missed was showing the mindbuggling difference in scale between a titan and a spacemarine. I mean I copuld make out the tiny fuss around the titan's feet must be the space marines. But that direct comparison, like having a spacemarine in the foreground next to what appers to the edge of a ramp of some kind, zooming out and pannig up to reveal it is in fact the toe of a warlord titan, that makes you drop the jaw with the realization. - But that's a tiny thing, just more motivation to go see that place for myself.
I want this to be a museum to show to the first aliens we make contact with and tell them that is a history museum with recorded battles of other xeno races.
Wow! I would love to have a sleep over and just stare and fantasize of the amazing sets and situations! “ be a nice escape from our sets and situations “. This is on my bucket list! Fantastic job everyone! Thanks 😊
7:52 Music be like "I am Grimaldus of the Black Templars, a brother to the Steel Legions of this defiant world. Never again in life will your actions carry such consequence, never again will you serve as you serve now. No duty will matter as much and no glory will taste as true. We are the defenders of Helsreach. On this day we carve our legend in the flesh of every alien we slay. Will you stand with me?"
How did you record this? also while you see the exhibitions in this vid, they are changed around periodically so in another 3 months maybe two of the large dioramas and five of the smaller ones would have changed, ive spent about 3 hours each way on a train to see this place over ten times, its the place to be if you love the IP
Goong again soon this month so will be good if there are changes. Filmed on an Iphone 11 pro only. Didn’t take anything fancy as want expecting to make a video. I found the exhibition to be better than I was expecting. There where some older models but there definitely is room for growth (like more older stuff and also a look at how they are made)
Love that its basically a dreary building on an industrial estate but they've made it look like some kind of imperial administratum building.
Absolutely checks out.
There used to be an HK factory across the street. Now there's a church that sells good parkin and hot chocolate.
@Twiddly Stosh Umm..not really, Holy Terra is a living breathing ultra-industrial overpopulation nightmare...this is just an open industrial space.

I remember going in the early 2000s when they had a huge display of the battle of the Emperor's Palace, with titans and all.
Same
That sounds awesome
I like how GW have just built every man’s warhammer nerd cave
It's sort of heartwarming to see a dad and his two kids go here and explore.

Quite lucky living in nottingham and having warhammer world be mine and my friends local gaming place :D
My mates and I used to go there just for Bugmans sometimes
More like gaming palace
Same here
Damn u are pretty lucky lol
Please don't take it personally, but I hate you for this XD
How can you not fall in love with the setting when it is displayed like this? Amazing.
When you're some old British guy with a TV talkshow
Oddly enough, after watching the huge displays, I started thinking, “does someone have to periodically dust all of that?”
probably have servitors for that
take a look at 5:55 -5:58 .. the girl thought the same thing ;)
@@NoNo-ce8xb Good spot, what a strange thing to do lol

Being Warhammer, the dust probably just adds to the setting ;P

Such epic, legendary scenes of the Warhammer Universe. I love it!!!
This is like the new grandpas going to a big model train exhibit
And im so down for it

Brilliant video, nice steady footage. Much appreciated.

How did i not know this existed? i need to visit this. love from Sweden.
Where you see cool minis and scenerys I see life goals.
That'll be on my top 10 places to visit when I get over to the U.K. This excels the War Museum in London I'm sure.

I feel so lucky only living like 15 minutes away from this place.

Me and my mates go every couple of months. It's great
My favorite part of the dioramas is seeing the size of the Titans in context.
Funny, the dad is the most excited of the three, the boy is like "alright toy soldiers are kinda cool but I want my video games" and the girl is just an embodiment of boredom.
XD unless she one of the mellow
That’s because the dad is the only guy who actually knows how to have fun.
Because like baldermort says “be sure to make time for FUN!”
Went there myself. Looking foreward to my next visit!
I guess you could say, that this is next level base game.. ;)
I don't have the patience or skill to make these sorts of displays, but damn I love looking at them.
GW don't deserve this community but community deserve better
Thanks for the tour !
Its a fun day out. The restaurants good.
Nice job really good filming
Dad: Hey kids can we go to Warhammer World?
Kids: Okay Dad, but you have to brush your teeth before we go. And we're not going to buy anything!
Wow! Look at all that neat stuff I can't afford!

May you all speak what you wish about GW, rightfully so. But this is art.
You need a card to get in, kinda like Costco, but without the free food and sweet deals.

Definitely, really hard to get a video to do it justice. Needs to be seen in person
