Enjoy, be safe and take lots of pictures/videos.
Ooohh la laaa 🥰 Hope you are enjoying yourselves, how fun!
Happy Sunday 🥰 have a safe wonderful trip you guys!! 😘
Just incase you need a nanny or a house manager, will appreciate to come over.
Bon voyage et bon séjour.
As a black woman, I honestly have to say I am proud of you . Though you didn’t give yourself too much credit throughout the video but I have to say I am really impressed with the hair care. And also how you handle her hair with care making sure not to hurt her. I am so happy she has such loving parents who care enough about her to learn her culture and even hair and skin routine . Am sure she’ll be very appreciative when she’s older. Also I don’t think you need to take her to a professional most black toddlers have these sort of hairstyles anyways so don’t stress yourself out too much. You’re doing an amazing job at being a black girl mum. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you, that means a lot ❤
Rhianna you are the Best! We love you alot! Baby princess is Blessed to have parents like u guys! I just want to say we love u guys!
Exactly!!!! She can do what I can’t braid and I’m always talking about I want a daughter lmao 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Exactly what I said.. she does an amazing job and she is very educated about our hair type amd regimen.. she is very well behaved getting her hair washed. I also washed my girls hair in the sink at that age and it wasnt this easy. They both do a very gd job taking care of her. My husband is Italian and if I had a camera everytime he did their hair lol it wasnt this smooth. I actually came home early having my last baby because when he came to visit my oldest daughter's hair was soooo greasy in the front and dry in the back that I know I needed to get home asap lol. I enjoy this family and im happy I found them. She has more knowledge than some of the mothers on yt that arent interracial.
@@horrorpop3292 lol. Its sooo much harder with mixed children.. its funny because 1 of my daughters hair is like her father whp is Italian and the other is like well lets say not like that and tryin to find what worked for them both was a hassle let alone trying to braid it lol
You may not have birthed Tyanna, but you are her mom in every sense of the word. The fact that you’re reading, researching and taking time to care for a Black girl’s hair speaks volume. And I love how you are teaching her to love her hair and promoting her self esteem. I have so much respect for you and I thank you for being an awesome mom to your beautiful daughter!!❤
❤ I ❤❤❤just love the way you and your hubby loves Tyanna
So true. ❤
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Me too❤❤
@YK-mj8oo thank YOU for saying "your beautiful daughter" I agree, even tho adopted, she is "her" daughter! I just love this family and all the love they give her and share with us. May God continue to bless them every day! 🙏🏼 ❤
The level of respect I have for this woman is immense. She is doing such an incredible job!!
Yes indeed! Rhianna was born to be a mom to this little girl. ❤️
Love how you are taking care of your daughter.
As a black mum, i say a big thank you on behalf of Tyanna, for the efforts youve put into getting the hair right. Hair is a significant part of a black girl's identity. Thank you for taking the time to get it right ❤❤❤❤
So how come so many (not all) black moms refuse to let their little girls hair flourish like this instead of perming them?
@user-sp3er8rw9p First things first, I was celebrating something good here, so your caustic comment was totally unwarranted. Perming the hair doesn't take anything out of the beauty. It just makes it more manageable. I grew up in African and had my hair permed since I was c12years old, not to make it more European but more manageable. My hair was so tightly curled that it was pure torture to get it into a plait or weave. I suspect you are not a black woman, so you don't understand.
@mzsho lies and cope. I'm a black woman with natural hair and I know the danger of relaxers. They burn the scalp and cause sores, they also permanently degrade the quality and texture of the hair. I think there's a pending lawsuit saying they cause cancer. Do you really think anyone against relaxers can't possibly be a black woman? Natural black women exist.
@@mzsho OK. But I am a black woman and I totally understand the reasoning of the question @user-sp3er8rw9p
@@user-sp3er8rw9p
I would say that "relaxers" are easier for Moms on the go. I relaxed my hair from the age of 13, I stopped at age 58! That's when I learned about the toxic chemicals and cancer concerns with relaxers. So now I'm totally natural, l don't even color anymore. And I can honestly say, I like my natural hair! (If rain isn't in the forecast, sometimes I even "straighten" my hair. 😉)
One of the most genuine parents I've seen on internet, your purity and her being happy and healthy speaks for itself. God really created three of you to be together ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have to agree. ABSOLUTELY ❤
Oh yes it’s a beautiful family & clearly Tianna is happy & she’s so smart
@Hibernatingagain: What a lovely compliment 😇😍
Amén ❤❤
As a black girl raised by a white dad and a black mom, my dad would always take us to the beauty shop, sit and watch! There were three of us girls! LOL! My poor dad😂He’s since passed and I cried watching this. You are such a spectacular family! The next time you’re in the D.C. area, feel free to reach out and I would be happy to give her a free gymnastics lesson!!❤️❤️❤️
I am also a new subscriber! Sooooo happy I found your channel😁it’s funny bc I just went natural less than a year ago and I learned a lot from this video💁🏽♀️
Well wait a sec Jennifer I live in the NW. My daughter need some gymnastics. Where are your classes?
All three of us could work something out on the bartered system. They don’t live too far from DC
THE PLAN:
I drive you to where they are for free to give their daughter lessons and return for Tiana’s mom doing my daughter‘s hair for me.😂😂😂❤
You did a good job on her hair, as time goes along you will get better.
As black woman I applaud your unceasing efforts. You are doing an OUTSTANDING job! Go Mommy!!!! Daddy you’re amazing ❤❤
In Nigeria, we call this type of cornrows “Didi”. It takes someone with patience to do that. This is 💯 👏🏻👏🏻. Mrs Schoeller, you did beautifully awesome.
YES OOOOOOOOOOO😂😂
The fact that she is only a toddler and y’all are taking such good care of her hair 🙌🏾 by the time she is older her hair will be so long and thriving. I just love how much time y’all invest in learning how to be the best parents you can be for her. She is so loved ❤️
😝🤑
They're wonderful parents.
Good job those braids are perfect. You will master it soon. She looks so beautiful in braids. A little secret if you braid her hair weekly or .onthly and put coconut oil mix with Jamaican castor oil she will have beautiful long long hair in no time. That's a fact.
Very true, God bless you both for the love ❤️ you showed her❤❤❤❤
Renee Well said!!🙌🏾
From a Black Mom - thank you for wanting and learning how to do Tyanna’s hair. Also, acknowledging all the ways you are learning from other Moms. You are truly a breath of fresh air.💕💕
@Xander Hegle Well, I am not into generalizations. In my own family of young woman of all races, we represent the following professions: professor, lawyer, dentist, OBGYN, systems analysis, entrepreneurs and a small business owner.
In many cases, not all but some, Caucasian parents with adopted African American children do not take the time or interest in the children’s culture. Managing our beautiful tresses takes more than an occasional shampoo. A well groomed person of any race stands out when he or she walks into a room.
@Xander Hegle Stereotypes and generalizations are also irrelevant. End of subject.
@Xander Hegle what research can you cite that hypothesizes or concludes that African American mothers are more concerned with their daughters hair than with their education?
@Xander Hegle So it's because of a documentary that you make a generalization? Do you think it defines all black women?
@Xander Hegle Wow, how rude are you?!!
Rhianna is such a GREAT mother. Just an angel 😇
As a black women and having hair thicker than Tyanna’s I appreciate you taking the time to learn , did research and ask questions , that says a lot about you, and just having the patience! I’m glad everyone gave you good advice on how to take care of Tyanna’s hair! What a blessing she have a mother like you! And, great job dad for doing the extra recording and providing the snacks, love that candy ring! ❤️So funny she said “no “ at first! 😂 3 hours not long, keep it up you’ll be doing it in 1 1/2hrs! Just remember it’s takes a village , don’t be afraid to ask any questions about our culture! May God continue to bless you and your family! 🥰❤️
Oh gosh. When I saw you braiding her hair. It’s brought tears to my eyes. You put in the work to learn how to care for her hair. You’re a super mom!!! ❤️❤️
You're such a sweet and great mom.. You've conquered hair care... Her hair has really thrived because of you ❤️❤️
fr. i have dreadlocks bc i dont have the patience for my own hair. super mom is accurate
You are AMAZING!! You are doing a GREAT job!
Im blk and I have no clue how to braid😭
I said the same thing! ❤️
Can we just take the time to appreciate how she took her own personal time to make sure her daughter’s hair has a beautiful protective hairstyle. That style is beyond beautiful and Tyanna looks so beautiful with it
That is normal she's her mama.
Love it
I am black and I can tell you Rihanna that you did a very good job! Your breads are amazing! And your daughter,s hair is very nice too!Love your family!
*braids
Same here ❤❤
From a black woman here you always do an awesome job. I can't even braid as well as you do and my mother never knew how. You are an honorary sister. ☺️❤
Right! I can't braid at all, neither could my mom. I am from the relax the hair early generation and thought my hair just couldn't grow long but with braids and twisted styles now have longer hair than I ever thought I could have. Tyana is so lucky to have her hair care routine that she can keep up at home.
I uad 2 daughters and could not braid. I used bubbles
Rhianna the fact that you've learnt to braid just to comb your daughter's hair yourself is phenomenal. It speaks volumes to your commitment as her mother. You're an awesome Mom. God bless you
WOW SO SO AMAZING You are wonderful Parents
As a black adoptee with white parents, this is so impressive!! My early years were just me crying in pain from my mum pulling my hair when washing it, and it'd be in an unkempt afro 24/7 because she doesn't know how to braid 😭 Tyanna's so lucky to have a mother that does research!
Rhianna did a Excellent job. Better than I could do. I commend you.
and you are very lucky for being adopted so a little gratitude would be kind, your mom probably did the best she could from what she knows , people are different, also now days is so much easier to find any kind of information because of the internet.
I'm sorry you had to go through that
@@dezavlog you sound absolutely ridiculous! Her stating her experience is not being ungrateful! According to your profile picture you have no clue how much it hurts when your hair is not take care of properly. If her mom didn’t know how to take care of her hair properly she could take her to a beauty salon or even asked other black moms for help. There are no excuses you as a mother should find a way! Smh
@@dezavlog yeah, better to be bald and have a family who loves you than to have proper hairstyle being homeless
OMG!!!!! One of the most beautiful videos I’ve ever seen… new subscriber here… I’m a black mom to a black daughter and this had tears streaming down my face… the love for your daughter came bursting through this video 😌🥰
They are teaching us how to be good and committed parents, my goodness!
I am a black mom and I was not very good at braiding my daughters hair at first! Kudos to you!!! I think that you are doing an awesome job! Her hair always looks great.
You can cornrow??? You have unlocked an advanced skill that i can't even do as a naturalista lol! Great work Rhianna
I get that same reaction when ppl find out im white and can cornrow too lol. I taught myself when i was 9 yrs old. It came naturally to me. But i didnt get really good until i was a preteen around 12 or so.
The fact that she got her to still is awesome
Girl me either 😩 never been able 2 lol. I am so impressed with her.
@@amberjones9520 that's Awesome iv accepted that it's just not my calling and all my children have tons of hair.
@@IamAlyciaShinese its really hard to do really thick hair. Not so much braiding but parting it. Cant say i blame u. It takes a lot of patience lol.
The fact that you took the time to educate yourself on the intricacies of black hair speaks volumes!! I love how you incorporate a “toddler friendly” environment to maximize a positive “hair day” experience! U go mama! ..and dad for keeping those snacks flowing👏🏽👍🏽🫶🏽🙌🏽
💯💯💯
I really admire your openness , patience and willingness to learn Afro hair. It’s not the easiest thing to do! Kudos to you
You bet!
Mom has so much patience. Tyanna has beautiful hair
You have DONE US PROUD MOMMA!! GREAT JOB. My heart is full with the knowledge you have gained in order to do your baby girl's hair PROPERLY!! Her hair is flourishing and THIS is why!! I love it!!
❤
Not only do you shower with this girl with love and make sure she's well cared for, but you take her on the most exciting adventures around the world. If only most parents were like you. I know she's going to look back on her childhood when she's older and realise she had a very happy and memorable one. Props to you two. ❤️
So true from the videos we can see how much love and care she receives topped off with plenty adventures.
I hope so! Everything we do is for her!
@@TheSchoellerFamily she's 1 blessed little angel 😇 💖. Sending love from 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
Ohhh, I love your love for your daughter.

I truly commend your commitment as parents to her hair care. You have done your research in understanding Black hair and have excelled in maintaining her authenticity in Black hair texture, style, and culture. The braids and beads hairstyle came out beautiful, you rock mom!! The snacks came in handy!! I applaud you both!! 👏🏾
Digo casal sofre preconceito, quando saem à passeio.
I didn't watch the whole video, but wanted to comment how great it is that you shout out all the folks who helped you with her hair journey. Sooo important, and not unnoticed.
Tyanna is so blessed to have you as her parents 😊
We feel lucky every single day to be her parents!
They take good care of Tyanna. Her skin and hair is beautiful.
I'm sitting here in tears because y'all are the perfect family to take such care with this baby. Y'all understand the assignment so much !!!!
What is the assignment?

This is so so sweet ❤ What great parents you are! As a black girl this is so heartwarming to see 😢🥰🥰🥰
As a black woman, I'm proud of you girl! Natural hair is a lot of work but I've been watching your youtube videos and her hair is really growing. And the hairstyles your doing for her are very nice. Those braids were cute!!💜 Good job and keep it up!!!
💥ALERT💥: Rhianna, a bit of advice for you...I say, snack on the negative comments for energy and keep doing what you are doing. You guys made a choice many would not, and that is commendable. @@TheSchoellerFamily You are quite welcome!😊
Snack on the negative comments? What
it’s so clear that y’all care about her, learning cultural differences and how to braid for her hair type. i wish every couple that took in a child of a different race would be as thoughtful and careful as you guys are, the world would be a better place.
We've learned how important it is to learn about culture differences ❤
Just beautiful. Your doing a good job
@@chinaarlene7035 why ...
@@chinaarlene7035 I think they will love her enough to not do that and will fight with her ....if that's even still a social issue.
@@chinaarlene7035 you think this couple took in a young black girl without being aware of the racial injustices we face? rhianna is very clearly not ignorant when it comes to racial differences if she’s putting so much emphasis and care on her kids hair, let alone the systemic racism she may face at an older age. you sound foolish and cynical.
I really admire the commitment and dedication this couple has to caring for and raising the beautiful little girl. Her personality is so sweet. You are an amazing person.
Mamma you’re doing so well👏The fact that you took time to learn how to braid her hair type, that on its own is impressive.
As a black woman - mad props for takin care of her baby hair!! ❤️
This video brought joy and tears to my eyes just seeing all that you’ve done to care for your baby. I am a braider and you did a very good job braiding her hair and with her hair care. There is nothing wrong with how you braided her hair, you are a under braider and many hairstylist braid just like that. I am full joy with all your research and observation’s you’ve made to see what works for her hair texture. You are a great mom and may god continue to bless you and your family.

Thank you for acknowledging that you learned how to do her hair through the black culture/ community !!! Thank you for the respect that you show to our culture and taking the time to teach her her history through her hair !!!!!!!!!!!!
@Xander Hegle yes history through hair:). It was through African braids , that one determined their age, status, social status, tribe, religion, and so much more. It was also through our cornrows that many braided maps to escape captivity. furthermore, it was through our braids that they stashed seeds, for which they could use to start a crop on whatever land they could escape to. It is through our hair as a black community that we stay connected to our past as well as our present culture. History and our black American history is important to our culture and our identity. This includes the deep roots of history in our hair.As for the Asian community, I’m happy that they too are doing what works for them and their culture. I’m not here to compare , nor will I. I’m grateful for all our cultural differences, even through history.
👏🏼👏🏼

I’m a year late, but this comment and the encouragement you gave to this family made me cry. Thank you for spreading joy.
As a Black woman, you did an amazing job ! Tyanna Always look very well cared for and loved ! You and John are amazing parents; any additional children that may enter your family...adopted, fostered, or biological would be blessed to have the both of you as parents.

Thanks for all the support that you are giving these parents. They are wonderful parents, loving and true. That child will grow up a healthy contributor to society because of the love and the tender-loving care her parents are lavishing on her. Every child needs to be loved, protected, and cherished. However, not every child receives, and many times, not even from their own biological parents. I thank God for this couple who are loving a child, unconditionally. That is want the world needs to make it a better place. I love this couple, your love for the baby will save the human race. May Gid bless you both, continually. The baby is yours, indeed.
What a wonderful mom you are. My goodness, not even my daughter-in-law can braid her daughters' hair like you. You are amazing! I can't find enough words to describe you. So proud of you! Your daughter will reap the benefit of the greatest care you and her daddy are showing her.

I know they give it their all Tyanna is loved beyond measure
I definitely have made few
My mom only knows two hairstyles so it's really heart warming to see this .
This is very impressive. I have mixed ethnicities background and my white mum didn't even try. I grew up with a short boy style afro. I only saw that i had the most AMAZING curly hair when i was old enough to learn how to take care of it by myself. My childhood was so traumatizing.
I'm 52 and i still have strong feelings about it.
So.... What i want to say is that your effort is so important !
My mom, as a black woman, watched this, and she said that you have her full support. You won her heart by the way you cared for her hair. She has all girls with a kinky hair texture.
I have no words to describe how you guys make me feel. You are phenomenal and absolutely belong together. God bless you.
Love this!! As a black girl with hair like tiannas, I'm very impressed how well you can manage her hair. Love you guys!!❤❤

I am so proud and grateful - you did an excellent job! The love you and your husband have for her is so wonderful to see. I am an African American woman and your braiding skills are better than mine! Love you guys.
when u are detangling her hair, divide her hair into four or two sections and that will make it EVEN easier from my experience 😊
You shouldn't be so harsh about your skill level, I know of and have seen plenty of mums who don't bother to do as much research into their children's hair up keep.
You are a gem - much love to you all ❤️🇬🇧

You need to give yourself wayyy more credit! You do such an amazing job of bringing balance and instilling hair confidence in your baby. I started watching you as a fellow nurse and everything else you share is just as good 😉. I can't express how much I appreciate how great of parents you both are. You can tell how much you love your child and how open you are regarding culture, pride, and family values. Sis! You can do some hair #periodt you have to give yourself more credit! You may not braid as fast as you can titrate sedatives but that doesn't matter 😂 I braid the same speed as you. Your parts are perfections, and I love love beads on little girls, every girl should have a bead phase 🤩
I must say you did an amazing job with Princess Tyanna's hair. There is no need for professional hairdressers....her hair always looks healthy and well kept.....Keep up the great work, supermom Rhianna!!!❤
