I don’t know why but something about this feels more scary than even dark revival. Back then we don’t know crap, we didn’t know why this place looked the way it did or why there were these horrific cartoon ink monsters. It was so much more mysterious, and I miss it.

Proud to say i watched the gameplay when it was this version
Man the music in this version was scary before chapter 2
henry would be around 50-60 years old if he quit working there and came back yet he sounds like a 20 year old
But he sounds young so odd lol
We finally see what henry looks like, and he looks like he's in his 40's or 50's
Because Henry is not human, he's just the memory, like Joey in batdr.
This game was developed in 2017, and it took place 30 years ago. So, does that mean this was taken place in 1987?
No. The story in the game is much much older like in the 1930s old. Henry would have returned to the studio somewhere around the 1960s.
Playing this we are in 1960

no he visited the workshop in 1950

Fuck this is fucking good
In my opinion this version is scarier because it feels more like what an animation studio would look like. The enormous machinery and overdone fx of the final version also make it feel less realistic in a way, the flat textured ink looks more like it's staining the environment but having a knee deep footpool of it feels excessive. The ink machine being washing machine sized also feels more plausible along with the simple structure of the studio.
I cant believe how quickly time flies i cant believe its been 6 years 😢

it depends but this version is my favorite the one started it all.
He proble never updated it so that’s how he still has it
There are archived downloads you can download of the first version of ch1 and 3 (ch3 comes with ch2) I have them and I can give you the site to them
