For whatever reason, I have a very vivid memory of my brother trading cards with his friends for the Dark Espeon, probably for cards worth far less than this now. I still have the Shining Celebi and Light Dragonite. These cards are gorgeous!

I have an old beat up Shining Tyranitar card from this set that my brother and I would fight over to use in decks playing the game. Obviously it's not worth nearly as much anymore but I still love that card.

Watching this I realized I have some of these cards from back in the day
There was an estate sale I went to recently had cards from base set shadowless all the way up to the neo and the E cards, there was a first edition shadowless venasuar, first edition shining charizard, and lugia neo first edition to name a few just buried in a huge pile of normal cards
After all of the Counterfeit boxes of pokemon cards being shipped all over the world recently, how do you know the so called Neo originals are the real deal? Genuine question
Good question. With counterfeit you can kind of tell with the seal being messed with and if it's been resealed you can also tell cause it looks off. It's more now with the newer sets that you see counterfeit products. It wasn't much of a thing back when this box came out. This one is a legit box with the wizards logo as that was when they were being released by them before being changed to what it is now.
Also he purchased Neo Genesis from that same seller. A reputable source to buy from

I Appreciate you giving back the full 1k when people hit clauses ,because it was frustrating to watch people lose holos to only open another pack later that didn’t have a holo and only get a percentage of the payment back.
