The thing I appreciate about these kind of videos is that the lower priced items from DG or DT is that young girls that are just getting into makeup, can afford these. Even if its not the best quality that you ladies are use too, young ladies can afford and learn. I'm 61 and still learning. We didn't have you ladies back in my teenage day. It was hit or miss lol. Yes, nowadays we can find great help with these tutorials! I was a teenager in the 90s, and I must say I definitely could have used the help! One day, my mascara and eyeliner caused me to look like a raccoon!!! Love having the help we need at our finger tips!

No one! Times have changed but then tweezers should have been illegal for minors( lol)

I get mine from Walmart, Family dollar, and the local beauty supply stores (Ruby Kisses & Kiss New York lashes and glue too). I love my makeup. Every now and then I will get an high end product

You know I got a nice blush and contour combo but it's not good for contour. The shade that looks brown is more mauve/ burgundy so don't that..lol..but it's awesome for blush and powder... It was 5$ I got some other ones some are ok the others are like lose powder it just blends away
I got a mermaid pallet from five below. the pigment is pretty decent for $5 and than I got their note book pallet which comes with 30 eye shadow shades, blush, highlighter and bronzer, eye pencil and eye brow cream for $5 and pretty decent as well.
@@amberholt8920 I've never seen one like that ours is hit or miss. U should try out T.Jmaxx they have awesome brush lits I got 5 rose gold powder brushes for 10.00. I'm hard on my brushes and they stand they test... I mean I do tire them up I mean washing them a lot..

You shouldn’t feel guilty about buying something nice for yourself. It’s amazing how much it sounds like you care and love your grandchildren, but it’s always good to do something nice for yourself. We all need to treat ourselves sometimes, wether that be going out to eat at a nice restaurant, taking a day off from work, going on a clothing shopping spree, buying yourself some candy, or buying yourself makeup. I’m sure your grandchildren would agree, that you deserve to feel beautiful and special. (Which I’m sure you already are!) Everyone does. And you seem even more beautiful then all the rest for how big and generous your heart is.

Family Dollar and Dollar General is all we have where I live. I have to drive 30 miles to the nearest walmart. They have decent stuff specially when ur on a budget or in a crunch and have to have something.

LA Colors also just came out with new shadow palettes, these are 3 dollars with alot better layout, cut or packaging, and alot better pigment, I'm testing them all now so we will see but I love this foundation for combo skin and I use their highlighters everyday❤❤

That concealer is one of my absolute favorites!! It doesn’t pull a weird color on me and never creases.. maybe try a different shade? You don’t need to use a lot either. I recommend it to everyone! I think you should totally try it again in a shade darker! Love you girl! ❤️

I've been impressed with some of the dollar general stuff I've got. I actually got some beauty sponges, I think it's the same brand as the one you got. but it was a three pack, two smaller green ones and a bigger black one. The black one is awesome! And I think they was like $3! It feels like a beauty blender! The LA Colors single shadows are the best, for some reason I never find them in the makeup section, they are always in the back, up front or in a little display away from the makeup. But they are really good. I've not liked their palettes. Family dollar actually has a better selection of makeup, more LA Colors stuff, better stuff. And LA Colors has a radiant foundation, think that would be better for you with dry skin. And it wasnt bad.... I like the Broadway lashes, I think they are actually a kiss sister brand. I read that some where....... and I actually think the finished look ended up looking really pretty! I think especially for younger girls just starting with makeup this kinda stuff is decent. I can remember what dollar stores use to have when I was just starting to wear makeup, terrible.

But dollar general had SOME new stuff but family dollar has an awesome contour palette, blush palette, highlighters, the foundations (not the old ones they still sell those too) but new ones are bad, they aren't the best I've ever used but compared to what I use to get when I was younger it's not bad! And like I said their single shadows are really good! Serious check them out! New stuff! Not the stuff they been selling forever. It is the same..... that old LA Colors stuff was my first makeup too! Then I BEGGED my mom for some good stuff and wouldnt even try LA Colors for a LONG TIME.

The Dollar general near me has a whole section of Broadway products and they actually have a concealer with a doe foot.. I was so excited cause I normally thin out my shape tape with it..lol

I go to "Dollarama" (Canada's version) and buy whatever I can before going to any other store. I get my fake nails (that I get constant compliments on), eyelashes of varying sizes/styles, face masks, nail polish, lotions, lip shades, shampoos, etc. There are so many good finds because they buy from regular stores that are going out of business for many of their products. I'm not huge into makeup, but besides my foundation, that's where I go first.
Oh FFS people!!! Not everyone can throw a rock and hit a Dollar General. The closest one to me is about 10 miles away. HOWEVER! I can throw a rock and hit any number of 99.999 Cent Only stores, and plenty of Dollar Trees as well. Guess it just depends on which part of the country you're in. Great video! and If you can find a 99.999 Cent Only Store, do a video w/ their stuff! :D
Dollar General is legit my favorite store lol. I was so pleasantly surprised back when I tried that truly matte foundation. It works and looks great on my skin 😊
That eyeshadow palette isn't good. I had it and I didn't like it so I gave it to my sister ,and she didn't like it either. So my granddaughter played with it.

Ok I had to stop this video to educate just a little on the dollar general store. It's been around since I can remb. I never remb it being a 1$ only store. I was very pore growing up. (I'm proud of that it showed me what hard work ethics we're) my sister and I got a lot of our sch clothes from there way back when they didn't have pretty clothes. Most of my makeup comes from Dollar General and Walmart. Lol. Every now and then I get to the Ulta store. On a very thin budget but hey that’s life.
Another Walmart makeup shopper here. You can find good quality makeup there. Nothing wrong with having a budget!

Dollar general was definitely the first place I started to buy makeup at. Wet n wild eyeliner and la colors eyeshadow was all I needed at 13 lol.

LA Colors also just came out with new shadow palettes, these are 3 dollars with alot better layout, cut or packaging, and alot better pigment, I'm testing them all now so we will see but I love this foundation for combo skin and I use their highlighters everyday❤❤

That concealer is one of my absolute favorites!! It doesn’t pull a weird color on me and never creases.. maybe try a different shade? You don’t need to use a lot either. I recommend it to everyone! I think you should totally try it again in a shade darker! Love you girl! ❤️

I like online dollar makeup - JB Eve's, Kleancolor and AOA. So much variety in the $1-2 range and almost everything is under $5.
I've been impressed with some of the dollar general stuff I've got. I actually got some beauty sponges, I think it's the same brand as the one you got. but it was a three pack, two smaller green ones and a bigger black one. The black one is awesome! And I think they was like $3! It feels like a beauty blender! The LA Colors single shadows are the best, for some reason I never find them in the makeup section, they are always in the back, up front or in a little display away from the makeup. But they are really good. I've not liked their palettes. Family dollar actually has a better selection of makeup, more LA Colors stuff, better stuff. And LA Colors has a radiant foundation, think that would be better for you with dry skin. And it wasnt bad.... I like the Broadway lashes, I think they are actually a kiss sister brand. I read that some where....... and I actually think the finished look ended up looking really pretty! I think especially for younger girls just starting with makeup this kinda stuff is decent. I can remember what dollar stores use to have when I was just starting to wear makeup, terrible.

@@Envious_envy no girl I promise! Way way better! Now not the stuff from dollar tree! And not their normal dollar line of stuff. But dollar general had SOME new stuff but family dollar has an awesome contour palette, blush palette, highlighters, the foundations (not the old ones they still sell those too) but new ones are bad, they aren't the best I've ever used but compared to what I use to get when I was younger it's not bad! And like I said their single shadows are really good! Serious check them out! New stuff! Not the stuff they been selling forever. It is the same..... that old LA Colors stuff was my first makeup too! Then I BEGGED my mom for some good stuff and wouldnt even try LA Colors for a LONG TIME.

The one thing that I don't liek about these vids is that most not all but moat of these rich youtubers dog the products or just downplay how good any of the products are. The Dollar general near me has a whole section of Broadway products and they actually have a concealer with a doe foot.. I was so excited cause I normally thin out my shape tape with it..lol

@@theeluannesantos I have tried the eye shadow and there actually pretty good and LA colors makes another eye shadow and face palette that I found in my dollar general that was actually good. It says nude on the front and it has a beautiful cranberry color in it that tops some big brands.. shocked

With those cheap eyeshadows if you use a setting spray and dip your brush into the setting spray first then add eyeshadow they work a lot better

I got a $4 palette from DG and the colors are amazing but it just disappears. Not long lasting. But their makeup isn't terrible.
In emergency situations, if I'm stuck with stuff like this, I apply it wet and it helps it last longer.

I go to "Dollarama" (Canada's version) and buy whatever I can before going to any other store. I get my fake nails (that I get constant compliments on), eyelashes of varying sizes/styles, face masks, nail polish, lotions, lip shades, shampoos, etc. There are so many good finds because they buy from regular stores that are going out of business for many of their products. I'm not huge into makeup, but besides my foundation, that's where I go first.

Oh FFS people!!! Not everyone can throw a rock and hit a Dollar General. The closest one to me is about 10 miles away. HOWEVER! I can throw a rock and hit any number of 99.999 Cent Only stores, and plenty of Dollar Trees as well. Guess it just depends on which part of the country you're in.

That eyeshadow palette isn't good. I had it and I didn't like it so I gave it to my sister ,and she didn't like it either. So my granddaughter played with it.

Ok I had to stop this video to educate just a little on the dollar general store. It's been around since I can remb. I never remb it being a 1$ only store. I was very pore growing up. (I'm proud of that it showed me what hard work ethics we're) my sister and I got a lot of our sch clothes from there way back when they didn't have pretty clothes. That's how I remb it not being a 1$ only store... i do know it started in the south bcz I live in the rolling hills of East Tennessee that's how I kn.. I will b 43 n Nov. Lol that's a long time....

The Broadway concealer has salicylic acid in it! I use the next shade down from porcelain & mine looks green as well.
