Yes! I’m a LSU fan and I was so excited for this game. Our seats are right by the visitor section. We had a blast… I wish this could happen more often. Lots of love for The Human Jukebox!
Jeezzz.. This intro sounds like a declaration of War, a call to Battle. The way the arranger and/or arrangers put Pin to paper on “We On Fire” is ingenious. At the 1:02 mark, they allowed the Lower brass to pave the way to the Bridge, led by the trombones. Having the Trumpets enter the Bridge at the 1:21 mark “Gave Me Chills”. I have heard Neck a million times but in this Medley “We on Fire” is the Fire.

I don't know about coming together. You have to understand that it was LSU FIRST time over decades playing SU and a HBCU school at that. 11 miles apart and this was LSU first time ever wanting to play the Jukebox in there stadium. That's sad. This my never happen again because LSU surely don't want to travel to SU. LSU stop playing Tulane after 98 games. They don't even bother to play Louisiana Tech, or Monroe... So the band members were on the field together showing their musician skills. Coming together is starting a friendship. They way they had the Jukebox jam in the stands, having their drummers and symbols playing in the band and the Dancing Dolls were on the ground where the cheerleaders be. They didn't bother to offer these young ladies chairs. The only time I've seen the Dancing Dolls on the ground is when their's a battle of bands. And they had chairs to sit on.

SU band is a real force to be reckoned with any American marching band. They do really good job of electrifying the game atmosphere. Now they need a football team to match the dominance of their bands presence and energy.
What the hell you expect. The talent level between a Power 5 team like LSU and SU is a big gap. Southern has an excellent football program within there conference. It’s a reason why they’re in the FCS they compete amongst those whose in the same ranks as them, LSU is like an NFL TEAM compared to Southern

What I most certainly don’t do is allow them to play with poor quality and technique. There is only one award that matters in the college band world, and that is the Sudler Trophy. LSU won it in 2002. Southern will never be considered for it.

LSU try to take some of our sound away by putting us low to the ground. Everybody know the higher the band the further the sound can go, especially in a big Stadium like this. No bad should be that low. Last week Florida state was much higher in the stands If we were on a second level. You would have really heard how strong SU really is. By these both being two in-state schools..the accommodations could have been much better. They didn't even give the dancing dolls anywhere to dance. They gave a beautiful halftime along with the Jukebox although they were crunched up in the stands. But hey it is what it is. "You have to take the Crooked with the Straights".

LSU always have the visiting team’s band on the lower bowl, a lot of PWIs would have the band in the nosebleed seats, LSU is one of the few that at-least have the band located near the bottom surrounding the fans at ground level

I remember when Florida A&M band was banded, that whole season they had no band, but when they played SU which was one of those rivalry trash talking games.. doing SU halftime, the Jukebox spelled out FAMU on the field. That was beautiful to see and emotional when the cameras showed the FAMU fans. The song they played was by Al Green "Let's Stay Together". That's what it's all about. The SU Jukebox and a Dancing Dolls are well known around the world. That's why that game was a sell-out and not only that, it was LSU first HBCU team they have ever played. They could have made SU Jukebox and the Dolls combinations much better than being crunched together like sardines. So a lot of people enjoy seeing Southern and a dancing dolls period.

The unity shown by Southern and LSU bands, fans, and football teams that day was nothing short of amazing. I'd love to see that game every year.
