Im 32 and have lived here pretty much my whole life. I was born in Rogers and have lived in almost every town and city in NWA. Fayetteville, Bentonville, Cave Springs, Highfield, Farmington, and of course my favorite, Springdale. I have family in California so I lived there for a few years during my teenage and early childhood years and I can tell you this, the only place I feel at home is in Springdale Arkansas! Nowhere else is my home. This is my city and I love it here. And yes, it is one of the fastest growing places in the US. It's scary but exciting at the same time because as we grow there's a lot of things that come with that good and bad. Crime is a given, bit ive noticed more family activities and entertainment for young and old to the area. I do feel like we need more indoor entertainment/activities like more trampoline parks, indoor jungle gyms, indoor swimming pools/water activities, and other things of that nature that I always see kids doing on CZcams. Moral of my comment, SPRINGDALE/NWA IS AMAZING!!
    NWA- Northwest Arkansas

I don’t know what you were expecting. You drove through Tonitown and called it Springdale. You came on a Friday night. The downtown area you drove through is the entertainment district. There were probably people in the little bars along that way or sitting on the back decks. One can drink from a plastic cup and go from bar to bar. Wednesday nights they do bike races through town. They are many celebrations on Saturdays. Springdale has the biggest Marshallese population in the country. Also many Hispanic people. You didn’t even drive by the beer garden on Holcomb off of Emma. Springdale is also a recreation area, fishing and camping. We are not rednecks that drive around and waste gas. People that go out to eat will go to Rogers or Fayettville or to the many Mexican Restaurants tucked away in Springdale. Springdale is the largest school district in the state. In northwest Arkansas we have what’s called the big 4. Fayettville, kind of college and laid back hippie. Springdale Marshallese, and Hispanic from more countries than just Mexico. They are known for culture celebrations. If you would have gone to the end of Emma the Jones center is there, with ice skating, indoor pool and splash pad. A workout gym with and ball courts. They also have a pump course. We have many baseball, soccer and softball fields all over town.
Rogers has many chain restaurants. Their downtown area is dead too. Bentonville has a cool square. The big 4 have unique features. Like I live in Springdale, sometimes we ride bikes down to Emma to enjoy festivals or the hole in the wall bars or sit on the patios out back. Sometimes we drive to Rogers or Fayettville to eat or tailgate at a Razorback game. Sometimes we go to Bentonville for a quaint time on the square or to Crystal Bridges museum. We have many smaller towns right next the the big 4. There is something for everyone, you just have to know where to look. Don’t plan on moving here cause there are not enough homes to buy. The homes are selling well over market value.
