Newport Beach Trash - THE GRAND FINALE

This is it! The Newport trash grand finale. Here you'll see some video of the city's trucks dumping their loads at the city's transfer station for the very last time, as part of the city's fleet. The contract with CR&R, which began the following Monday, includes leasing the transfer station. You will see CR&R's trucks (these included) dumping at the transfer station sometime in the future. After the dumping, you will see something totally different. I've taken you on a tour of Newport Beach. Well, part of the city, actually. There were plenty of other places and points of interest to include with the credits, but I never got around to filming them. You'll see City Hall, Newport Harbor High School, the Balboa Island Ferry, and a few more places around town. Comment, rate, and look forward to many great non-NB videos to come.

Very nice! That was very fun to watch. So how exactly is trash sorted here or loaded onto trucks? Is it just dumped into a big pit and then pushed into a truck? Liked seeing the Volvo FE - didn't know Newport had any left. Liked seeing the Volvo WX RL as well. Good tactic of spraying water as the trash is unloaded. Liked the list of all the drivers and employees - that was cool. Great work on the Newport Series. Going to miss them!

Thanks, and I'm glad you enjoyed the series. I'm certain some people got annoyed with it though LOL. I am glad to have been pointed in another direction when it comes to filming all kins of trucks. The refuse is dumped directly into trailers, which are then transported to CR&R's MRF at their corporate office in Stanton.

I did temporary work with CR&R in summer 2014 and 2015. I might consider a driving position after I get my CDL, but they look for 2 years of experience.
