    I bought a Honda monkey in January this year (2019) after seeing the pre production model at the Birmingham nec show in 2017 and I loved it! I have just done a 3800 mile trip on it around Europe taking in 11 countries in 16 days and it was 100% reliable! I LOVE this bike. I can’t recommend the Honda monkey enough!

    Nice video. Its hard to believe that's a 125 with 9 hp. I think this bike hits a sweet spot with older riders who owned/remember the original MiniTrail and CT/SL 70. I'm 61 and want one for this reason and never forget the fun we had with small lightweight trail bikes.

      I had the original 50cc Honda Mini Trail while still living in the Philippines in the mid 1970s. Top speed was only about 40 kph but I used to ride it around the city as well as riding it on mountain trails. Now retired in my 70s, that was the best fun years of my life.

    Honda has the best looking machines out of all the other manufacturers in my opinion . They also produce the most reliable and overly engineered machines . No other company puts as much time and money into research and development as Honda does in every segment they are involved in . Wether it's a generator or a jet or anything in between Honda does it correctly the first time and then moves on to the next . I own many of their products from generators and outboard engines to dual sport motorcycles street motorcycles and cars and trucks . They have not let me down not one time and they will not as long as you follow all maintenance instructions to the letter . 😎🙏👌✌👍👊

    Hello from Durham NC. I as well have the 2019 Honda Monkey and I have replaced the weak rear shocks and purchased the MNNTHBX Billet rear shocks. Wow what a noticeable better ride. In my opinion it was the best $500 I purchased for my monkey A.K.A. Ritchie Cunningham. Love the content of your Videos and the places you ride.

    I bought the last one available in N.S.W. Australia, ( no more for six months) Can't afford to ride it on the Road yet, No money left for Rego, Card maxed out, I love it ! Just ride it around the yard, sit's it the Lounge ( looks great just sitting there ) I do believe I'm eccentric, No need to comment on my sanity,

    A message from a Harley Davidson Softail Streetbob owner in Liverpool UK. I enjoy your videos and believe it or not. I am going to a Honda dealership tomorrow to order a new Honda Monkey Bike. I want the Honda as second bike for short rideouts. The effort of getting the Harley out from my back yard to go on a short ride makes a Monkey Bike a far better idea.

    Looks/sounds like Yakima Wa. Hello from the westside of the Mountains (Olympia) Nice to see a you-tuber from Wa state. Just saw my 1st Monkey today in person. I was impressed. Way better seat and seating position than my Grom. Actually sat on a new Grom today also and didn't like that at all either compared to my Grom. Felt like way less room and different seating position pushing you into the ground. Looking forward to more videos!

      Hello back! Yes, the Monkey is king of comfort in the mini bike realm! I also own a Grom, and a Z125 Pro, and the Monkey is far more pleasant to ride for longer distances.

    Love your little bike and I think Yellow is perfect! Washington is an absolutely beautiful place and I would count myself lucky to live there but the volcanic activity along with the potentially catastrophic mountain slide is terrifying! If I lived anywhere in the Yakima area, I’d be very concerned!

    I started out looking at ebikes, graduated to the Honda line, I am interested in the Monkey or the Super Cub, not the Grom. Got my MC license in the 90's, never got a bike and never did any riding. I am now 75+, wt 300+, am thinking about one of these bikes. Other reviews say the Cub is a good starter bike, but I like the looks of the Monkey. Am looking at videos to help me make up my mind, am waiting till spring before I commit to one or the other.

    Excellent job on this, great narration and editing skills. I want a Monkey so bad here in Pisgah Forest NC the Blue Ridge Pky is 15 miles away and would like to know if you thing this bike could handle
    the mountains for a person at 180lbs. By the way the state geologist better get busy on a plan and start tracking that side of the montain. HOLY CRAP that's a disaster in the making and the mining company should be held accountable. Yea.....sure they will. Pray you don't get a massive amonunt of rain soon! Keep up your videos too, very inspiring!!!!

    what i love about the Monkey is that it works for any age is not typical in any form at all :D, and a good topic at the end would not look good with a landslide like that , I'm getting one as a sidekick for my Civic , good cruiser for small trips and to get me to work ,,I'm close 50 so the nostalgic style on it suits me perfect since last time i had a mc was back in the late 80s :D

    Honestly I think you may be the first to do content on the monkey! You are the ORIGINAL! You have had it faster than the speed limit unless you are on the highway. Dang that crack is huge, hope it stays where it is for your sake. Good video, ride safe.

  • @clintstinytrailerconversio5560

    Very interesting about the hillside sliding onto I-82 / river and the railroad line. I think it and the other side of the river (can't find the name of the river so far) are called "butte". I can't imagine the authorities are not concerned, but maybe there isn't a workable solution. I'm no Injineer (ha) but... it seems to me operating heavy equipment on top, would exacerbate the problem. Also interesting that the Monkey is faster / better than the better than the Z125. I just bought / downsized to the Vulcan S, and here in north Florida dealers have 125Z(s) listed at $2300 ... really about $3K out the door. Monkeys are probably nearly a grand higher for new 2019s. When you stopped and changed cameras, I was thinking "oh, Lord don't let his gloves fall to the ground"... LOL

    • @GasWorksISO
      @GasWorksISO  Před 5 lety

      The higher price of the Monkey is in its materials and craftsmanship. It’s a really well built, beautiful little bike. Thanks for the comment! Ride safe! 👍🏻

    I sooooo want one of those Honda Chimpanzee's (Monkey) that is !!! I guess I'll have to go order a 2022 model 5 speed with the ABS front breaks in pearl black/silver paint scheme !!! Yes the river would get dammed up in a portion of it but looks to be a safe distance from the highway that is !!!!

    Dear Gasworkgarage,
    If I would like starting to ride a motorcycle after my getting my licence A2, I thought it would be wise starting with a 125CC, (before choosing the Honda CB 500X) learning the way of using a motorcycle in relation with the CB 500x.
    Which one of the following would you suggest :
    Honda Monkey or Honda Grom
    Thanks in advance for your kind advice!
    Pascal

    • @GasWorksISO
      @GasWorksISO  Před 4 lety

      Either one would be great. If you plan to keep it after you purchase a CB500X, I would get the Monkey. Nothing wrong with the Grom, but the Monkey is a better investment.

    • @GasWorksISO
      @GasWorksISO  Před 4 lety +1
