    I look forward to your 1 year review video. I just bought this on Amazon. I am surprised nobody else made video on this. I hope your LG is still working great. That was a good idea to keep the unit in the base instead of on the wheels.

      Same here. Just ordered (minutes ago) the LG 7000 BTU from Amazon. I was going to buy the Black & Decker 14000 BTU model but realized their advertised BTU is the ASHRAE and not DOE like LG advertises so B&D is a bit deceiving. Also looking forward to his 1-Year review!!

      @@rgraz4929 Congratulations! So far ours is doing wonders. Note this 7000 BTU is for small room only. It is filling our needs very well.

      @@YASAJTV Thanks for the replies. My bedroom is only 12 x15 sq ft. My office is even smaller. So it should work great. Luckily, the windows in my bedroom and office are the same exact size it'd be easy to move.

    Thanks for the video. Also looking forward to the 1 year review video! I was going to buy the LG 7000 BTU from Home Depot, but the price is now $389 (from $379) and the 6000 BTU is now $339 (from $329). It seems the prices go up every couple of weeks. LOL. Anyway, I just ordered the LG 7000 BTU unit from Amazon for $361. Disadvantage to buying online is rough handling during shipping, but I have 30 days to return. I almost bought the Black & Decker 12000 BTU unit for $344 but just before clicking the Order button, I realized their advertised BTU is the ASHRAE and not the DOE like LG advertises so even though B&D advertised 12000 BTU, the DOE is only 5,950 BTU.

    Bought one at Home Depot. Hose is a major pain to attach to window piece. Doesn’t easily fasten. Spent way too much time trying and then had to rig it with electric tape.

    Great video. I just received the same unit today and used your guide to install it. The window bracket I had to also trim. It was a pita to get right lol.
    May I ask you I plan on using this as an ac most of the time. Would I need to drain water from it or do you think it would evaporate?

    • @YASAJTV
      @YASAJTV  Před 2 lety +2

      Congratulations on new AC. If you plan to use only AC, no need to install the drain pipe. If it ever needs to be drained, the light will come ON

      @@YASAJTV thanks very much for the feedback. The unit is a little loud but cooled a portion of my home better then my central air does hands down. I ran it for 8 hrs last night and only a little water came out when I drained it. I’ll follow your advice and watch for the light then. Wish it was quieter but rather be cool in sticky weather. Thanks so much.

    Hello yasaj. You have awesome videos. Please tell me if you are happy with your lg air conditioning. You mentioned about postura review after 1 year. I am buying the same in 4 days but mostly concern if the item keeps cooling and didn’t get noisier. Thank you.

      I can confirm this AC is still cooling well. I live in one of the top 3 hottest cities in the USA. It has been 3 years, and it is still working like new. Just make sure of the correct room size and proper hose/ventilation from the back.

    The adhesive foam they give you is crap. It literally falls apart if you try and reposition it.

    Is a drain hose included, for the use of the dehumidifier? If so, how long is it the hose? Some summer nights are cool but very damp here in the northeast where the dehumidifier would be perfect. Thx.

    • @YASAJTV
      @YASAJTV  Před 2 lety +1

      If we are talking about the same model, there should be two drains. The middle one is for humidifier, whish should be always connected for water to come out IF using the unit as humidifier. IF using the unit as AC only, then no need to have drain pipe connected to the bottom one, since AC function will automatically vapour the water. All in the user manual.

      @BrijertonIAS Před 2 lety

      @@YASAJTV hi, thank you for your response. It id the same. I see the two drain areas. The thing is I don't even know when the unit is using AC or humidifier. Im so sorry for my ignorance. What i understand from your answer is that the hose is really only needed when using humidifier? ... so the problem I have is not b knowing when it's in humidifier mode or AC. 🤔
