As someone who is outside of fashion, I never fully understood the Haute Couture thing until I was shown videos of Robert Wun's work, then all of a sudden it clicked. This isn't my world - and my normie brain would always think "who the hell would ever wear that?" But I get it now... This is art. It's like a Mona Lisa walking down the aisle, or a Rembrandt, Winterhalter or Caravaggio. It's not necessarily meant to buy or wear - you're merely being shown the utter brilliance and unbelievable amounts of talents a designer has. I've seen lots of Haute Couture shows, even been to a few. But it wasn't until I saw this man's genius come alive that I fully understood the purpose. And now, my appreciation for this art - is a million times more warranted. What an absolutely beautiful mind & gift Robert Wun is... just brilliant.
Best haute couture collection that I’ve seen this season. Like it is just mind blowing and chilling to see these pieces. This is what the world needs. ART THAT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM 👏🏻
The feather butterflies, the nails that go from short to long, the black and white look at 5:00, the draping on the skirts, the draping the connects on the backside around the elbow, the burn marks on the yellow look with the dark-skinned model wearing yellow lipstick, the crushed velvet looks, the AMAZING color blocking/ombré/trench look, the corseted skirt, the asymmetrical hats, the pleating, the eyewear, the cut-outs, the veils, the collared waists, the INSANE amount of detail in the red muscle dress, the FROSTED SKELETAL DRESS AND MASK, the THOUSANDS of stones on that cosmic/galaxy look. Robert Wun remains as one of my favorite designers. His work is very unexpected and jaw-dropping!
Absolutely LOVE the motifs and silhouettes in each design as a reflection of the steady progression of concepts; starting small with the delicate and ephemeral in the snowflakes and butterflies, transitioning to the natural and elemental with flowers and fire, before finally culminating with the intangible and infinite, i.e. death and the cosmos. The collection is like a camera zooming outwards in its exploration of existence, aptly entitled 'Time' ... Not only is it beautiful and conceptually rich, it is mindbogglingly multifaceted - Life and death, tangible and intangible, order and chaos, monotones and vibrant bursts of colour, elemental and universal. Like any great piece of art, the garments continue to reveal themselves with each re-examination. I think Robert Wun might be my new favourite designer!
REFRESHING and BEAUTIFUL!!! with all the uncreative and lackluster designs we've been seeing in the industry. It's nice to see some designers can still come out with creative and imaginative pieces.
I’ve never been into modeling / fashion to deep, but literally from the moment the video started & the first model came out I literally forgot to breathe for about 3.5 seconds, I’ve ALWAYS love sparkles, glitter just different ways to wear it & just seeing these outfits I mean my GOODNESS! Wun is an I C O N.
I do have an art background but no background in cloth/fashion design but in the artist's expression of the pieces, I see organic, life forms on earth, the cosmos, and the beauty of death and decay...nature is one of the best references for artists. Also, love the burning shapes on the clothes
I am totally blind when it comes to fashion but somehow this collections are pure art to my eyes, it is more than a collection of clothes, each of them has different theme and feels alive!!
Really interesting collection. However, he has been in the game long enough that I think there should be a bit more effort toward editing and restraint. The wonderful details in the garments are being overwhelmed by all the other extraneous details. It's sort of a "fashion student" error -- put EVERYTHING and the kitchen sink on one garment!! 🤸🤸The nails.....the talon demon boots...the extreme makeup....the hats...veiling...the exaggerated walk..ON TOP of tons of details in the garments -- it's a bit of overkill. One can have a "dramatic" show and get the design point across as well, while still pulling back just a tad on the desire to vomit all the design ideas for the collection on the runway. It's like a tornado of McQueen and Gareth Pugh influences all at once. Sometimes, in the pulling back, your best work emerges.
I find it very silly, it looks like a can of paint has fallen, and what's the point of carrying a forest on top of you and horrible skeleton? And the curtain dresses are exactly the same as last season.
One of the best collection this year, fashion is alive….
Last dress was breathtaking my soul left my body
✨👄✨
Agreed!!! The colors and the fabric were gorgeous!!!! It looks like it had tiny lights wired into it!!
fitting, because the last dress symbolizes the soul
@@e.9874 Yes!!!! Perfect description!!!

This is not even fashion it’s literally art
So as person who knows nothing about fashion I got a question… do people actually wear this stuff or is it just art
He erased faces because high fashion is not about faces
Müthiş ❤
