I love how Anna said the worst thing after Elsa asked if she would be confined to the gloves and her fear again, but instead of apologizing and trying to work out how to have Elsa come back and thaw the ice while still remaining free, she started to defend herself which made them start to argue again, it just seems really realistic and it plays out how it would in real life
But it does not fits in storyline i mean, Anna looks like she doesnt care about Elsa all she wants to do is thaw the frozen fjord. And she dont have any rage or anger to Elsa . Reprise explains better about their sistership
Adil Hamamci Elsa was a selfish girl who puts her experiences above her sister Elsa spends a point in the movie yelling at people to give her gloves back Anna gives her her gloves and Elsa freaks out and talks to Anna like she wasn’t shut up in a castle with no friends and no clue why her sister just disappeared all of a sudden Anna is SO under appreciated for what’s she’s gone through Plus, your sister or a whole Kingdom of children women and men who are experiencing hypothermia
Yeah that right cause I have a sibling and we both when having an argument we cover our ears and go “LALALA I CANT HEAR YOU LALALA” I now only do that cause she’s older and more mature and she calls me immature when I do it 😢
This scene really humanizes Elsa. I mean, I'm not one of those people who hates Elsa as a character, I just think she consists mainly of godlike ice powers or romanticized trauma. I enjoy seeing Elsa being petty and relatable. Disney just went too Disney in the case of Elsa.
Not to mention that this song is a much better use of Idina Menzel's singing skills; giving Elsa a bit of "sass" and making her a bit of a smartass is a big upgrade.
@@MeleriGW I think in the place of a strong personality, her character relies on her past trauma and the effects of that. Maybe I didn't make the strongest claim, but I can't shake the feeling, I think she'd be a pretty dull character if she were completely at peace with herself.
@@thecheck968 well i kinda disagree. Her personality is actually clear. Shes mature, cold kind but assertive and she completely fits the role of the queen. Anna’s personality is bubbly and happy and energetic. But for me she seems like most disney princesses. Energeric, happy and want to find romance. Seeing a character like elsa that doesn’t fit this stereotype is nice. About her trauma i think her trauma forms her a lot as a person. But you gotta remember that she had to deal with it for most of her childhood and thats gonna effect somebody a lot. Her trauma is also well written. I dont really feel like getting into it since that would be a really long comment. But i do understand your point of view i guess its weird to see a “disney princess” that isnt energetic and happy
As a sister, I can say this is exactly how everything plays out. "Wanna play minecraft?" "Yeah!" And ten minutes later.. "YOU KILLED MY CHICKEN I KNOW YOU DID" "WHY WOULD I DO THAT"
@Eve Ross but still. You gotta think. Like ur the princess of a country who’s gonna take the throne. And a guy that’s never gonna be king of his country, immediately wants to marry you? Like it’s a constant thing that goes throughout history especially in the 1800’s (that’s the timeline) so if Anna was in there for like 10 years then like don’t you think she would’ve done some reading???
Yes, in this version there is a prophecy in which a ruler with a frozen heart will destroy the kingdom. Because Elsa has ice powers they think it's her.
@@rudo_tyche Agreed it would have been an interesting choice. At least we have the deleted songs though. Spring pageant is the one where they talk about the prophecy. There's even a cool clip of when Elsa was supposed to be the villain.
I love how Elsa is going “la la la la la la la” when Anna is talking, and then immediately lectures Anna about how Anna only sees what she wants to see.
But their relationship SHOULDN'T be a usual sister relationship, because Anna never saw Elsa after the whole incident they had, not until they were adults
this is the most sibling-accurate song ever written simply because "life's too short to miss out on a sister like you!" and "LIFE'S TOO SHORT TO EVEN HAVE YOU IN IT" are both completely normal feelings to have about your sibling in the span of three minutes
The idea of the gloves being a literal and metaphorical cap on Elsas true self and that's the reason she snaps here is so clever. I wish they had smth like that in the film, it conveyed her anxiety about her powers so well
@@user-wn7gd4lk8b They don't show it here but in the deleted scene Anna is basically telling Elsa to put on the gloves again. Which is why her whole demeanor changes. m.czcams.com/video/jZyWuFsGcgg/video.html
@@darkshadowstorm7056 How would she hide her powers? Everyone knew about them. I think Anna wanted to thaw the city from her ice, but Elsa was being selfish.
@@traptinseid8577 The gloves represent Elsa having to repress her powers. Notice how after the first movie she never wears them again. Which is what Anna was asking her to do. That's why Elsa's whole demeanor changes. After finally being able to use her powers freely of course she's not going to want to repress them again. After so many years of having to do just that coupled with the fear of harming anyone. Especially, when her whole secret was exposed by Anna to the townsfolk whom the trolls warned her about. Hence the line "So I'll shove on the gloves, that's how your story ends?". Followed by "So that's been your plan to force me back in a cage".
I was two when this movie was released so if they did use this song I wouldn't even know what they were saying I mean I didn't even know what impaled meant😂
I think they didn't choose this song because they didn't want Elsa and Anna to get into a fight. Also in the song they used, to show that Elsa is still scared of her powers.
They're morons, then. Showing siblings argue is an EXCELLENT place to show off their personalities and also develop their relationship (being angry with each other isn't antithetical to them loving each other).
@@TuesdaysArt kind of. It's more of her being happy about being free and to not hurt anyone with them. She was alone and could do whatever she wanted with her powers.
What I love the most about this song is the "Let's forget who is right/ and let's forget who is wrong" part, which is shared by them as if they were both apologising, but it feels like they are both singing about Anna. She thinks she's right, and Elsa believes she's wrong.
@@geekwithglasses2897 frozen has been on broadway for a year and a half now (there are different actors than the movie) and no that song isn't in it :( but there are plenty of new catchy songs as well!

•{Clarisse Jay}• i have to admit, frozen 2 made me switch lanes and go team anna when i always should’ve been. anna is the underrated queen we don’t deserve PERIODT
I wish they had kept this song in. Anna explicitly stating that she believed her whole life that Elsa hated her + the implication that Elsa may partially blame Anna for having to be isolated her whole life gives them so much more character
I'd actually like if this was the song instead of the one that was used when Elsa froze Anna's heart. Although I still love that song I'd like to see Elsa actually think about living with Anna in her castle but then getting upset thinking Anna was just trying to trick her into unfreezing everything and going back into her "cage"
Yeah but in the movie the only reason why Elsa had come back is because Anna was going to freeze and the only reason why Anna was going to freeze was because Elsa also have frozen her heart
It makes her an actual person who’s just scared of herself instead of a total b-tchy brat like in the film. It makes her seem like she just is scared of herself and feels as if Anna is just trying to _use_ her.
For me it's the opposite. We each stay in our respective rooms whenever it's just us, but whenever I _finally_ have friends over she comes and decides to fucking claim them because I cant have anything to myself now can I? Just because she doesnt have any friends she tries to claim mine whenever I can convince my parents to allow them over. Istg I wanna curb stop this thot sometimes.
Gacha Girl I think it wasn’t made when Elsa was supposed to be the villain of the movie. They didn’t even known each other in the first place when Elsa was supposed to be the villain. “What, I don’t believe you!” “I’ll shove on the GLOVES. That’s how your story ends?!” With those lyrics, I think it wents well with Frozen I. In the supposed to be animated version. She didn’t have her evil hair on. She had her kind Elsa hair. Where it looked like her hair was simillar to an ice cream cone sorta. Watch some videos about what she looked like to see what i’m talking about. :>
I think Anna and Elsa show two different aspects of trauma, the one who was abandoned by her own sister, and the one who abandoned her sister bc she was taught to hate and fear herself. I think that what angers me in Frozen as a whole is the way they treat the girls parents as the bEsT pArEnTs in the world. They're not. They might have had good intentions, but where I live there is this saying: "Hell is full of good intentions" basically you might have had good intentions and really thought you were helping, but you went too far and didn't even notice you're doing more bad than good... They didn't try to help Elsa to control her powers, they put fear in her and kept her away from her sister, definitely not their intention but they made Elsa believe that she was a monster that had to be kept away for others safety. It also affected Anna, the castle doors were closed, Anna was completely alone, her sister refused to see her or talk to her and she didn't understand why, she probably thought she did something wrong and that Elsa hated her. No other kids were invited to the castle to play with Anna even though Elsa never got out of her room and the ice neither. The only time we see Anna with her parents after the isolation started was when she was saying goodbye. Scrap that! That's the only time we see Anna with *anyone* during her childhood. She was socially awkward, naive, and trusting because she was isolated from the world and didn't know how anything worked. Elsa went through the same isolation but her actions are different bc she grew up with fear and mistrust! This song shows *perfectly* how such a traumatic experience affected both of them in different ways. Disney had a chance to depict what extreme overprotectiveness can cause on kids once they grow up and how similar circumstances affect people in different ways. I feel like that's what they tried to do but they preferred to sugar coat it making the situation seem better than it was. And they depicted the parents as saints without ever addressing that *this was their doing!* And DON'T get me started on the trolls, they've given start to this whole mess and the way they worded everything made it seem like this was their intention. The way they described Elsa's relation with fear, the little "slide show" they did, simply saying that in front of Elsa herself instead of with the parents in private... Fear is Elsa's greatest enemy? Well she wasn't scared until you opened your mouth!! (The parents still hold responsibility though, "the more scared she is of her powers the harder it will be for her to control it.... Lets isolate her and tell her to never use her powers and especially in front of others including her own sister, who got hurt once because of our lack of information so let's hold all information from her so she won't get hurt again :D" Stupid, completely stupid) Thank you for reading my TedTalk and let your kid make mistakes so they learn from it instead of protecting your kid from everything (either by isolating them or never letting them deal with the consequences of their actions) and if they have something about themselves that might be dangerous for them and those around them, take them to therapy :)
Some random Yt It’s stupid I know, but it was an argument that shouldn’t have happened (she also refused to apologize even though I had). Although it is fun how I’m backing up previous comments lol.
Yes, but it also let's the cat out of the bag too much. It needs to be revealed that Olaf and Elsa are the same person before she can share this side of her personality with others.
I like this way more than First Time in Forever Reprise. Anna is just like "We'll make the sun shine bright" and you think she is having a perfect life and is selfish for not considering Elsa. And Elsa is having this whole breakdown thing. While in there you can see what BOTH OF THEM feel and they don't treat Anna like the other sister who married to some dude with sideburns. Because that is important. Anna is just as much the main character as Elsa is maybe even more she has the most screen time. People seem to forget that the reason Anna trusted Hans was because he acted like he loved her the thing she longed for love and affection. They keep everything a secret from her Elsa kept shutting her up. She had no one and she was definetely not okay. Hans was a chance to not be alone, to be loved to her. But Elsa took that away from her too. So she wanted a reasoning but Elsa did not give an answer. Then her powers got revealed and she ran away abondoning her sister once again. Yet people keep on insisting to see her as the "stereotypical princess sister" while they see Elsa as the "cool independent sister". These are not what these characters are supposed to be. They are way more complex than that. They make mistakes because they make choices out of fear. Most of Elsa's choices are made out of her fearing to hurt people. Most of Anna's choices are made out of fearing to be alone.
I actually imagine Elsa and Anna's conversation going like this in a more serious take: Anna: Elsa, you've got to come back and undo this winter, people's lives are being destroyed! Elsa: Why? Why should I care about people who have hated me since the day I was born? DON'T YOU GET IT? I'm a monster to them! Anna: Do you think I didn't suffer? I spent my childhood separate from you! From any other child! Elsa: Suffering? What do you know about suffering?! You were the NORMAL one, showered with love by the palace and by the court, the one they REALLY want on the throne! Anna: Elsa, how can you say that?! And what do the normal people have to do with this? Elsa: Oh-ho-ho, wait till they take one look at my powers, they'd pick up their pitchforks in a heartbeat! Anna: Unbelievable, I don't even know you now! Elsa: You're right, you don't! At the end of the day, when it's all said and done, why shouldn't I be a monster if they treat me like one? Imagine how powerful THAT conversation would be!
anna was the forgotten sister, she has such happy energy and of course elsa has also gone through some stuff but anna was young when their parents passed away, so she has no one to talk to or has no friends or any one that shes close to. The parent's handled elsa's power terribly and treated her like some kind of prisoner. It's sad. But overall, im on anna's side. She just wants everything to go back to normal but have someone to face it with. Thats why she's so fast to trust someone, because shes been touch starved her whole life.
Yeah, they're like opposites. Anna wants more people in her life and Elsa is scared of having more people in her life. I love Anna and prefer her over Elsa, but honestly, Elsa was the one that actually remembered their childhood, Anna was too young and her memories were altered when she almost died so yeah. It's a difficult competition lol, they both suffered a lot, Anna didn't understand her sister's distance and Elsa trying to stay away and hide herself from fear
Elsa has gone through 'some stuff'? Elsa used to be a happy child like Anna , then after Anna was about to fall , Elsa hurt her by mistake. She was terrified , Anna didn't know what happened , Elsa did. Then her parents completely blamed Elsa and told her to 'hide' her ability. Her powers are a part of her. If we were told to not use one of our abilities which make us unique then what will you do? Elsa nevertheless obeyed her parents and tried to hide them just for the sake of other people and Anna. Anna was lonely , sure , but at least she had her parents to talk to. They loved her. While Elsa was made to believe her own powers were bad. The only things Elsa possibly talked about to her parents were her powers , which she considered bad. There was no real bond. Anna stayed like a normal child in the palace. Elsa had 1000 mental breakdowns when she was a child. Elsa was young too when her parents passed away , she actually became more hopeless than Anna because her parents were the only ones who knew about her powers. She had no guidance now. She became the queen , and had so many responsibilities, unlike Anna. Then after getting her power exposed by her own sister , she ran away , so she couldn't hurt anyone , just for the sake of others. After she ran away she finally accepted herself , and was free. But Anna came to lock her in her cage again. She hurt her once again. Can you imagine what was going on her mind after finally accepting herself but her powers still being threat to others?
@@user-qh8lu2bk1k okay, first of all, it's a Disney movie Second off all, just because Elsa has gone through 'some stuff' doesn't invalidate the fact that Anna did too! Like, think about it. They probably both have mommy/daddy issues and PTSD from their parents dying, and it would only make logical sense that neither ever knew how to really interact with people. You took the perspective of Elsa, now let's take a peek at Anna. Anna, from being a young child, never got any social interaction other than her sister and her parents, which, her parents seemed to bot be there even when alive. So practically only Elsa. Then suddenly, one day, her only friend is gone, locked away behind a door, and doesn't want to come out to see her. Elsa, when asked to come out, would say things like "go away," and Elsa was Anna's only friend _ever._ Her best friend suddenly seems to hate her, and she has no one to talk to it about. Not to mention that human memories are very flexible and incorrect a lot of the time. For all we know, Anna remembers Elsa insulting Anna from beneath the door, calling her names to get her to leave. Anna develops almost a type of masochistic Stockholm Syndrome. People who've neglected from a young age tend to become, more or less, attention wh/res. So Anna, craving attention with only one way to get it, begins to enjoy the conversations from beneath the door, and romanticizes their relationship. She dreams of Elsa coming out of her room and them being friends, but she still never does. And when she eventually is forced to, she's incredibly antisocial, and not at all what Anna dreamed of. So basically, her entire perception of pretty much the only person she's talked to for her entire childhood is completely shattered, right along with her hopes and dreams. Again, a lot of this isnt cannon, but is pretty much any internal suffering and mental illness cannon in the Disney cinematic universe?
@@emocrab7545 Anna used to talk to her parents. And unlike Elsa , her parents actually behaved like parents with Anna. They didn't tell her to cOncEal dOn't fEel. I am not saying Anna didn't go through some stuff I just said Elsa went through way more stuff. Elsa locked out Anna for her own safety , all of the stuff Anna has been through also applies to Elsa. Elsa didn't had anyone to talk to either. Elsa didn't had any social interactions either. Elsa's only friend Anna , now knows nothing about her sweet memories. So yeah that's my point.
This is a great song. Really shows an accurate representation of siblings. I strongly agree this should've been in the actual film but I still love Frozen either way. Also, Idina and Kristen never disappoints! Loved them when I was younger and still love them now. 👏🏻
This song is perfect. Elsa would have developed into a actually antagonist role, with her forging her own kingdom on the mountain and hating the people down below who only ever treated her like she was a dangerous animal. Elsa as a villian would have made it such a better movie, and made her and Anna's "redemption" arch way more compelling.
@@iambluepelt3904 I believe Whitney Avalon has also done this, I'm not too sure though it's been a while since I last watched her rap battles. Edit: I'm still not sure about Whitney doing this yet but ERB has if this helps...
this is actually really interesting, this song is the complete opposite of what actually happened in the movie. In this song, Elsa wanted Anna to stay but in the movie elsa wanted Anna to go ASAP.
Trollzy _ It was created when the plot of the movie was different. Specifically around the prophecy lyric. Elsa was supposed to be somewhat of a villain if I recall correctly.
Yes. And this song is sandwiched between the "Villain Elsa" concept and the "Good Guy Elsa" Because in the storyboards Elsa has the sparkly dress. I guess from the ruins of the Villain Elsa concept they kept the "General Westerburg" character who would eventually turn into Hans. He married Anna sometime before Elsa ran away, that or Elsa already had run away. But in this version Anna and Elsa are sisters, and that came after the villain Elsa plot was thrown out.
I feel so old watching this...this video was posted in 2014, and now it’s 2021, when Frozen 2 has been released 2 years ago. This just reminds me of how far we’ve gone!
She was going to marry him in the begining of the movie's development, but they decided to change it, not sure why but I guess it was gonna be too depressing or something
I feel like it really goes against the theme of the rest of the movie too. I mean, that part is fine we can have conflicts that contradict the theme. But like, "Life's too short" is a really strange tagline. Also they just say a lot of things that it's like "what are you talking about" Elsa and Anna never argued, which sure maybe they should've, but there wasn't much chance for it and Anna mentions a prophecy, but like what prophecy..? Was there some removed plot point about a prophecy that Arendale will be destroyed by a girl with ice powers? lol. Who's to say.
The prophecy is something that was in the original plot of Frozen, when Elsa was the villain. I don't know too much, you guys can probably look it up, but you're not stupid for not understanding lol
i wish they had this song in there. They robbed Elsa of the true character she deserved to be. she’s an amazing character, but they didn’t deliver her well. she’s still one of my favs tho🥺
MynameJet Mynamejet THE ROAST IN THE REGULAR movie doe.(no idea why caps appeared) Elsa:Anna what do u know about love? Anna:More than u. All u know what to do is shut people out. Me:OHHHHHHHHHHHHH U NEED SOME ICE FOR THAT ELSA!!
The movie needs this song because this song explains why Elsa wouldn't go back to Arendele because in the movie she seems like a butt head but in this song its because Elsa has trust issues and thinks she's going to have to living the room again
Elsa was horrified of hurting others like what happened in the past, especially now after embracing her power to such an extent. It's very obvious why she would prefer to be away. Sure, she also wanted to be free, but protecting others was still her first priority.
No what... In the movie she doesn't know how to thaw and thinks she will only leak out more ice if she goes back (and that happens) and not to mention she feels immensely pressurized to still have to go back to Arendelle after so many years of holding in.
It’s not Disney channel and I’m almost certain they took it out because it’s one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard in my life. The lyrics are so bad and the tune sucks so bad.
Elsa 'la la'ing over Anna then complaining about how Anna only sees what she wants to see is a great example of how alike they are. Anna was making a genuinely good point; Elsa was leaving the people to suffer an eternal winter because she locks herself away from her issues, to the detriment of herself and those around her. And while Anna was so focused on the people and her status quo she missed Elsa speaking about how caged she felt.
Yeah. In the story we got, both sisters wanted each other more than anything but this song takes place in a completely different storyline where Elsa goes bad
Krystal Castaneda technically I didn’t grow up with it, I had a phase when it came out, I was 10 and I was obsessed for a couple months and then I stopped caring.
The “you have no idea what I’ve been through because of you” line is quite “deep” in my opinion, because elsa had to be locked because Anna got hurt and Anna had to spend her whole life alone because Elsa was never there ( well it’s their parents fault but they don’t know that ) This song would have also added a lot to the story and would’ve felt relatable and realistic because siblings fight ( at least I know most siblings do :’) )
@Taehyun's Eyes yes it does since elsa said "thanks for seeing my place" which means the ice castle she built. She wanna get anna out since she wants elsa back in the arendelle but elsa doesnt want to go back there. She doesnt believe arendelle is going to be inhabitably frozen if she doesnt do something
I seems like in this version there was a profecy and they actually fought because of what they did to each other. Can't help but to think that it could've been a more consistant filme that way
Begining: Happy When it hit the 1:30 mark: Have you ever seen siblings shouting mean stuff at each other half wishing they could cuss?? Only children:No Would you like to?!
Many people here can’t seem to grasp the idea that this version is meant for an entirely different storyline with both the sisters having entirely different relationship and feelings for each other. This is a part of the storyline where Elsa and Anna KNEW each other, comfortable with poking and insulting and sharing jokes with each other as siblings and even share a wardrobe place in the palace. In the final version, they were literally strangers, both only having distant memories of having fun together as very young children. Look how awkward both of them were to even say “hi” to each other. Strangers don’t go up to each other and act like siblings all of a sudden just because they remember distantly something about being siblings. I’m getting tired of people wanting “sibling moments” when there is no real “siblings” in the movie to start with. I’m really glad Disney went for the more realistic theme.
I agree! I love this song and the depth it gives the characters and their relationship but it wouldn't have fit in the movie. It would have completely changed their relationship if they tried to shove it into the new and final version. The style of the music also wouldn't have fit. I do love it, but sometimes it's okay that things get cut out and changed; that's how a movie develops!
???????? Yes, and the troll said he made sure Anna kept the happy memories of herself and Elsa together. But all that happened when Anna was around 5 and Elsa 8. Elsa was kept in her room for 13 years. During these years, they didn’t see or interact with each other again. Imagine yourself having a best friend when you were 5. And then you meet them again when you were 18. Will you be as familiar to them as you would be to people you’re currently acquainted with? At best that childhood friend would be a “familiar” stranger. Same happened with Anna and Elsa.
@@namelessbard2124 Never interacted is wrong, there's a whole song of Anna CONSTANTLY trying to interact with Elsa FOR YEARS. I also think this song would've still fit since they first sing about having missed out on each other for so long and finally really getting to know each other (which would fit even if they didn't share a room and didn't interact a lot) and then Anna steps over a line by telling Elsa to come back and make things how they were just that now they'd have each other .basically her finally getting what she wanted,Elsa out of her room socializing. since she doesn't know Elsa HAD to stay in the room and it wasn't by free will that she shuts people out. So from Annas perspective Elsa is just selfish, self centered and arrogant ( so naturally when Elsa refuses to help the people of HER OWN kingdom she was supposed to lead ,Anna gets furious) when in reality Elsa has always given up everything for 'the greater good of all ' by restraining her powers, not having a social life,really..not have any fun at all for years while Anna got to be roaming free and experience everything. So for Elsa ,Anna just always wants things to go her way and she can't accept getting a "no" for once. Therefor she sees Anna as a threat when she tells her to go back (back into the cage and her miserable life ) and lashes out at her. I believe all of that makes sense with the story they went with and would've made an awesome interaction. People can know it was written for something else and still think it fits.
Jos-Jos Radvanjí of course I didn’t say the lyrics wouldn’t fit. And I do like the way you break apart the meaning of the lyrics, and I can see the lyrics making a good story all by itself. But the main thing I was talking about here was how the pace and the sisters’ dynamic in this particular song wouldn’t fit. And yes, there was Anna trying to interact with Elsa FOR YEARS. But the main point here is “trying”. Elsa never reciprocated in any way, except for that “go away Anna” during the Snowman song. There’s quite a difference between interacting with a person and interacting with a DOOR that you know has a person behind it. Look how awkward they were with each other during the whole coronation dinner. They still weren’t comfortable talking to each other even at the ice palace. And for this “Life’s too Short” song to work, Elsa had to be willingly speaking back and forth with Anna and invite her to stay in the ice palace with her, and then willing to have a whole argument with Anna. But in the movie, Elsa was still withdrawn and uncertain and awkward, and right from the start she was asking Anna to go back and leave her here. And Anna was still in the process of trying to hold a conversation with her, and she was still not succeeding even that, let alone have a chance to hand back Elsa her gloves and tell her to hide her power and come back. The whole point of For the First time in Forever was Anna trying to speak to Elsa (asking Elsa to let her in), and Elsa constantly trying to run away (literally) from the conversation and asking Anna to leave. Maybe, maybe if Elsa interacted back with Anna even a little bit during Elsa’s isolation period, by letter or even by single sentences, and the sisters had a little bit of connection prior to all this mess, then maybe this song would’ve fit. It was a nice, meaningful song full of potential, but for the current version of the story, it doesn’t fit,

Elsa spends a point in the movie yelling at people to give her gloves back
Anna gives her her gloves and Elsa freaks out and talks to Anna like she wasn’t shut up in a castle with no friends and no clue why her sister just disappeared all of a sudden

True
Yeah that right cause I have a sibling and we both when having an argument we cover our ears and go “LALALA I CANT HEAR YOU LALALA” I now only do that cause she’s older and more mature and she calls me immature when I do it 😢
This scene really humanizes Elsa. I mean, I'm not one of those people who hates Elsa as a character, I just think she consists mainly of godlike ice powers or romanticized trauma. I enjoy seeing Elsa being petty and relatable. Disney just went too Disney in the case of Elsa.
i still don’t really know the message frozen tries to teach kids “solitude is great until your pesky family members ruins it”
Not to mention that this song is a much better use of Idina Menzel's singing skills; giving Elsa a bit of "sass" and making her a bit of a smartass is a big upgrade.
How is her trauma romanticised? Not saying its not i just wanna understand what you mean

Lets isolate her and tell her to never use her powers and especially in front of others including her own sister, who got hurt once because of our lack of information so let's hold all information from her so she won't get hurt again :D"
Stupid, completely stupid)
Thank you for reading my TedTalk and let your kid make mistakes so they learn from it instead of protecting your kid from everything (either by isolating them or never letting them deal with the consequences of their actions) and if they have something about themselves that might be dangerous for them and those around them, take them to therapy :)

@Alexandra Adamczyk Really she was pretty much ignored by everyone her whole life

anna was the forgotten sister, she has such happy energy and of course elsa has also gone through some stuff but anna was young when their parents passed away, so she has no one to talk to or has no friends or any one that shes close to.
@@user-qh8lu2bk1k okay, first of all, it's a Disney movie
Second off all, just because Elsa has gone through 'some stuff' doesn't invalidate the fact that Anna did too!

This is a great song. Really shows an accurate representation of siblings. I strongly agree this should've been in the actual film but I still love Frozen either way. Also, Idina and Kristen never disappoints! Loved them when I was younger and still love them now. 👏🏻

Bruh, this song would have made the movie’s characters 10x more interesting
This song is perfect. Elsa would have developed into a actually antagonist role, with her forging her own kingdom on the mountain and hating the people down below who only ever treated her like she was a dangerous animal. Elsa as a villian would have made it such a better movie, and made her and Anna's "redemption" arch way more compelling.
Elsa: *"BUH-BYE!"*
Damn Disney
How can you delete a song that can describe two _actual_ sisters
It didn't go with the new story they made
Too realistic for a fairytale

this is actually really interesting, this song is the complete opposite of what actually happened in the movie. In this song, Elsa wanted Anna to stay but in the movie elsa wanted Anna to go ASAP.
This makes Elsa and Anna seem more like siblings, ya know, the fighting and arguing and “my life is to short, wish you weren’t in it” 😂
This song would have changed the whole movie!
Why
Trollzy _ It was created when the plot of the movie was different. Specifically around the prophecy lyric. Elsa was supposed to be somewhat of a villain if I recall correctly.
Lumity forever!
Vanillama728 i wonder if i would have liked that version better (i love the way it was tho still)
ikrr
"You're a fool who married a stranger!" Wait, does that mean Anna all the way MARRIED Hans in an early draft of the movie?! *YIKES!*
Or maybe Elsa just assumed they got married
Oml-
Well they were engaged
Well they got engaged, so she was going to.
I love how they both get to express themselves entirely.
I feel so old watching this...this video was posted in 2014, and now it’s 2021, when Frozen 2 has been released 2 years ago. This just reminds me of how far we’ve gone!
"You're the fool who married a stranger."
Does this mean Anna at one point married Hans?!
Maybe originally
She engaged to him, but she didn’t want to say “you engaged yourself romantically to a stranger!”
No it means she engaged but that doesn’t sound as good
She was going to marry him in the begining of the movie's development, but they decided to change it, not sure why but I guess it was gonna be too depressing or something
Elsa thinks they did because she left the day they decided
I think they deleted iz because it was way to realistic to be in a fairytale
Miss.GamerGirl X yup they deleted it because it was deemed too “inappropriate” for kiddos

"You're the fool that married a stranger." - Elsa (From "Life's Too Short")
That's probley why it was cut
The movie needs this song because this song explains why Elsa wouldn't go back to Arendele because in the movie she seems like a butt head but in this song its because Elsa has trust issues and thinks she's going to have to living the room again
I agree
@@filmavizatimorshqip8657 Even I do
Elsa was horrified of hurting others like what happened in the past, especially now after embracing her power to such an extent.
I agree.
I like how they’re all nice with each other in the beginning & first chorus and then slowly defend into a fight
Just like siblings haha

Elsa 'la la'ing over Anna then complaining about how Anna only sees what she wants to see is a great example of how alike they are.
Anna was making a genuinely good point; Elsa was leaving the people to suffer an eternal winter because she locks herself away from her issues, to the detriment of herself and those around her. And while Anna was so focused on the people and her status quo she missed Elsa speaking about how caged she felt.
"Life's too short to even have you in it!"
Ouch
life's too short to even have you in it???????? that's an whole other elsa and anna........
And a whole different story line
Yeah. In the story we got, both sisters wanted each other more than anything but this song takes place in a completely different storyline where Elsa goes bad
Its basically sibling rivalry so i don't quite get what you mean..

Krystal Castaneda technically I didn’t grow up with it, I had a phase when it came out, I was 10 and I was obsessed for a couple months and then I stopped caring.
This song really makes us see that they were really sisters otherwise I would always think how can the y manage to not fight for anything at all!
The “you have no idea what I’ve been through because of you” line is quite “deep” in my opinion, because elsa had to be locked because Anna got hurt and Anna had to spend her whole life alone because Elsa was never there ( well it’s their parents fault but they don’t know that )
This song would have also added a lot to the story and would’ve felt relatable and realistic because siblings fight ( at least I know most siblings do :’) )
This song was probably made when Elsa was still supposed to be the villain.
That makes more sense.
Anna kinda seems like the villain here ngl 😳😳
Milie Anna sounded more like a bad guy
I think it was supposed to be after Anna found out elsas powers and before Elsa ran off or when Anna found Elsa again in her ice castle
Can't help but to think that it could've been a more consistant filme that way
There still is a profecy, it didn't take up so much of the movie sadly.
prophecy*
The prophecy is the beggining song sung by the ice carvers (i cant remember the name) that is what this song is referencing.

Ry Es Yay! I’d like this version, just skip Kristoff, please
It was a nice, meaningful song full of potential, but for the current version of the story, it doesn’t fit,
If Isabella's and Mirabel's argument were a musical, I imagine it to be something like this lol
I love frozen but I would’ve LOVED to see this version of the movie with this dynamic. Also this is a fantastic song😍
