  • A few years ago I was looking for a portable record player I could take around the house or outside. The Crosley Collegiate fit the bill, and the price at a local discount store was too good to pass up.
This is my review of that record player.

My father would have loved to play his ROLLING STONES records on this. He especially loved the live FLASHPOINT (1991) 🏁🏮. This one's for you dad.

Thank you for watching. What a great tribute to your dad.

The fake leather you mentioned is called Rexine. Gotta love the 70's and their "innovative" materials. I like that you measured and reported the stylus tracking force. Keep the cool videos coming.

Great vid - thanks for posting. I found one of these for $10 at a thrift store today but need to replace the band and the stylus. Hoping to get away with about a $30 purchase overall...
Has anyone found any ways of playing these through an external speaker or are you stuck with the speaker already built in?

Hi Blove3614! I successfully ran the audio from the headphone jack to my Bose computer speakers using a 3.5mm jack to left and right RCA connections. I had the volume of the Crosley Collegiate at about half volume. Of course, your results may vary. I hope this helps you.
