- "Rock of Ages" was originally written by Irish poet Augustus Toplady Forgaill. "My Hope is Built on Nothing Less" was originally written by Edward Mote. Re-composed together with the power of Suno for your viewing pleasure.
About the Hymn's Authors:
Toplady, Augustus Montague, the author of "Rock of Ages," was born at Farnham, Surrey, November 4, 1740. His father was an officer in the British army. His mother was a woman of remarkable piety.
He prepared for the university at Westminster School, and subsequently was graduated at Trinity College, Dublin.
While on a visit in Ireland in his sixteenth year he was awakened and converted at a service held in a barn in Codymain. The text was Ephesians 2:13: "But now, in Christ Jesus, ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ."
The preacher was an illiterate but warm-hearted layman named Morris. Concerning this experience Toplady wrote: "Strange that I, who had so long sat under the means of grace in England, should be brought nigh unto God in an obscure part of Ireland, amidst a handful of God's people met together in a barn, and under the ministry of one who could hardly spell his name. Surely this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous."
His volume of Psalms and Hymns for Public and Private Worship was published in 1776. Of the four hundred and nineteen hymns which it contained, several were his own productions.
----
Edward Mote was a pastor and hymn writer. Born in London on January 21, 1797, his parents managed a pub and often left Edward to his own devices playing in the street.
Speaking of these childhood years he once said, "So ignorant was I that I did not know that there was a God."
He was finally exposed to the Christian gospel and was baptized at the age of 18. He was trained as a cabinet maker and worked in London for 37 years. Only in his fifties did he enter the ministry and was pastor at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Horsham, West Sussex for 26 years. He was well liked by the congregation in Horsham and they offered him the church building as a gift. Mote replied "I do not want the chapel, I only want the pulpit; and when I cease to preach Christ, then turn me out of that."
Perhaps his best known hymn is "My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less", which refers to the Parable of the Wise and the Foolish Builders, with its refrain 'On Christ the solid Rock I stand, All other ground is sinking sand'.

Hallel u YAH!
It's so perfect... Is this Ai? I would like to think it's a real band of humans playing it!
We generate with Suno, then master and edit in the Adobe Suite before uploading! And I agree! Maybe down the line if we have the means to hire out a real band to perform these!
@@DeusMetallicusthanks for answering. I love this music! It's actually a dream of mine to do traditional hymns in the style of melodic deathcore. I plan to keep all the original melodies and timing structure, and raunch it up real good with some blast beats and deathcore vocals. Jesus owns everything so he must own metal genre too! God bless you and keep you, and we all can't wait to hear more from you!
Getting a whole band to perform these would be great, but even hiring a vocalist would be a good move. Machines and technology can help us sing praise to Adonai, but they should never replace us, for He desires that we use all our gifts to bring Him Glory, both our voices and the instruments we use. @@DeusMetallicus
I really didn’t care for the last one to be honest. The AI had issues pronouncing a lot.
Something with the tempo maybe?
This one is great however and it’s well paced. 😊
Been fiddling with a few things here and there to improve the experience. Glad you're seeing the changes! Hope you enjoy what's coming soon! Will be releasing a new track every Friday!
May i be apart of your band???
Pretty sure he’s using AI, but I’d love to see an actual band doing this.
Yes we generate using Suno before audio editing and mastering. Would definitely love to have a live band perform the pieces!
@@DeusMetallicus i'm learning guitar, acoustic & Electric. can I contact you guys??
