After the last vlog building a lot of models, I decided it was time to get some paint on some models. I talked about how it's important to get some results as you work through large projects so hopefully there's some helpful advice in this video for army painters! I'm deep into my crazy Orktober plans and am also working on 1k in points for different types of Boyz and Characters and depending on where that ends up working on 1k in scratch built vehicles.

Kommandos are supreme for board control. And the Distraction Grot and Bomb Squig helps for sure with their offensive output.

They look great! I'm throwing a few orks in the mix between the other stuff I'm painting. Trying not to get carried away but it's hard with orks.

I'm doing Orktober too. Love your style and will deffinatly be adding colour in the same patchy way you do to the armour panels. You may like the list, 15 killa kanz, 2 deffdreads, Ghaz with 2 meganobz in a battle wagon and 3 meganobz with a big mek in mega armour going inside a morkanaut (1995 points). Assembly's nearly done, can't wait to paint it. Keep up the great videos.
That's near enough to a Dredz Mob as makes little Difference. I'd want a Big Mek with Mega Armour with the Mega Nobz. I can do something similar but I don't know my exact numbers. I think I have less Kanz but I have more Deff Dredz and I have a Mega Dred as well, not that good game wise but I love the model.

Kommandos might be the first Ork unit I get. They look really cool, just have to decide what kind of green I want my orks to be in... It will probably be some kind of green grey color but I still need to find the right kind of greens.
Yes I do own two squads of kommandos so should really use them.

I'm doing Orktober for my Kruleboys for AoS. I decided that I will use the month to fully build the army so they aren't just sitting on sprue forever.

I picked up Snikrot yesterday. My Orktober is a lot smaller with a Commando kill team and Snikrot.

Small victories, the Deffkoptaz look brilliant, my own speedfreekz are a brighter red, but still rusty.

I do like you paint scheme though I want to go for Blood Axes. I could basically change the red for green with a bit of simplistic camo which is pretty much what I was going for on the models I painted already.

Orks are in a strange place in 10th edition, they are still quite points heavy in a game where even marines can deploy in great hordes. Limited durability, don't respawn and are only really any good in combat. I still love Orks but its kinda tough for them right now.

They turned out great! I have those three old ones from Assault on Black Reach and I noticed that the new ones are on cavalry bases? So maybe before tackling them I should get some of those (instead of the clear ones) and something to put them that is not that clear plastic flight stand?
Yea for sure put them on the new bases. They look so much better.
Battlewagon is a cool model no doubt, but you’d be much more efficient to split that into 3 trukks, especially in a 1k list.

Love the content - Ive got my mob ready to paint. Q: With your Orc flesh, you have swapped out a total model wash of seraphin sepia for a flesh only wash of new Berserker shade and then Im guessing Nuln oil on metals / cloth - is that because it gives better results ? but takes a bit longer ?
Ye I guess so I just went for a new skin scheme with these batch of orks.
Mate how do you guys do it, I get home from work busted and I cant get near anything till atleast 10 and that's me wrecked.
