Agreed. I own this guitar and can’t put my finger on it, but the most playable guitar I own in so many ways. SO versatile.

Very nice review. I bought one w/ a Trem and the classic MM feel is there along w/ some cool appointments like the boost and coil split (or is it tap? Can’t remember). Ultimately, a very versatile guitar w/ classic tones and the ability to create new tone options on the fly.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 I give it five out of five “Hell yeahs!!”

Very tastefully designed guitar. James is a severely underrated guitar player but I can't say I care for the path the band went down after Songs About Jane.

I can agree with you on this. I enjoyed their first two records then kinda fell off as well. He has great taste in gear and tone though!

The tones you're getting sound fantastic. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna make a move on one of these. They sound like a hi-fi telecaster.

Thank you so much! Yeah the bridge pickup is like a fuller Telecaster bridge since the pickup range is that of a humbucker yet it’s still a single coil (with the option to keep or remove the 60 cycle hum!).

It's a great guitar, but I prefer the boost set much lower as its gets a bit fizzy for my ears, also with the tone control dialled down quite a bit to find the sweet spot. There's also a second trim pot to control the coil split level, which sounds great balanced up against the full neck tone

The balance is such an amazing feature to have for sure. I think the boost is best between 3-12dB.

I had 17 guitars of medium to high end quality, I got a prs s2 studio and had a at more guitars isn’t always better. Quality over quantity. I sold off 16 in the following three weeks after getting that guitar,, one guitar I will never be selling in my remaining 3 is my valentine. It’s the comfiest guitar to play and with a custom p90 I had put in the neck it’s going to the grave with me

I just took mine apart and put it back together with a new nut and fresh setup and it RIPPED on tour this past weekend.
Which P90 did you put in yours?

@@ZackSeifMusic im in sydney (australia) i had a local guy make me some beefier p90's, just a little more output then a standard p90 (similar to the bareknuckle pig90 just in a humbucker case to fit the standard cutout of the valentine)
i had thought about replacing the nut, just havent been bothered to do that yet
