  • This is my journey and process that I used to clean my motorcycle tank. Tank cleaning methods will vary according to your own desired methods. This is just what I chose to do.

Well done 👏 that was the best video so far . All the others stood with a tank cleaner in their hand, promoting a cleaner. Well done, you simple and effective . Regards from Spain 🇪🇸 😊

Hello, I can’t believe it! I bought the exact same bike in 2021. I went through the same problem. The previous owner stored the bike for years with a dry empty gas tank. The inside of the tank was covered with rust. The engine was running with misfire and weak power. I took the fuel pump out, and filled it with vinegar for 3 days. I rinsed the inside many times, changed the pump, the “tea bag” filter, and it ran well for about 30 miles. I had to take the filter out and it was clogged with micro résidus of rust. Then I thought the problem was solved for good. Two years later, this past summer (2023) the misfire reappeared. The tea bag filter was brown again, and there was residual micro rust inside the pump regulator. Cleaned the whole pump assembly. Hopefully this time it should be good for a while. Other than that problem, I absolutely love the bike! It’s so powerful and fun to ride! I hope you enjoy yours too! 👍🏻😊

I did have to change out the filter sock once more. I do use premium non ethanol fuel now. No more issues in two years.
