- I get asked all the time about hair color. And I just want you to know that I love the Clairol Textures and Tones brand. It is the only coloring system I use. I have been using it for about 3-4 years and I haven't had any problems.

I totally agree that Textures and Tones is the absolute best hair color. My hair is relaxed and I've been using this for many years. Recently I became tempted to try something different and I used Garnier Olia and I am soo sorry that I did that. It dried out my hair very badly and caused a setback that I'm currently trying to recover from. I've been trying to give my hair lots of TLC and restore it to its former health. And yes I'm going right back to my beloved Textures and Tones! I will never stray from it again... Two thumbs up for this hair color!!

I did it! I colored my hair using the same process honey blonde first then lightest blonde a week later and... my hair turned bright orange 😂😂😂 I called the number on the box and Clairol suggested an ash brown color to put on top to tone it. It's more light auburn now... that was a fun birthday. Warm tones on natural hair with reddish undertones is a bad idea. Lesson learned 😂😂😂

it was actually an ash brown. I can't remember exactly what color it was but it was recommended by the color specialist over the phone after I explained what I did. She also told me over the phone that my hair would've come out better if I just mixed the two blondes and dyed my hair one time.

I literally did the same thing. Honey blonde wasn't light enough for me so I did the lightest brown... then my hair turned out a brassy/orangey color then I went to sally's and got a TONER to tone the color... I'd post a picture if I could, but find me on Instagram @pinklippreacha (I promise this isn't bait to get a new follower)... but after the purple toning shampoo I found, the color started looking muchhhhhh better!!!
If u guys hair turns orange or yellow again go get wella t18 toner & (wella Color charm 20% peroxide) really any 20% peroxide will work.
I just put this color in my hair!!! I did it twice in three weeks. I didn't loose my hair texture at all and it's not dropping out at all or seeing it shedding.i think it's due me always making sure my hair is conditioned anyways and oiled. I put a pH and keratin treatment in afterwards and also a lock in blonde packet which made it more golden and less brassy looking and it has hints of platinum blonde too mixed in. it's sooooo beautiful! i love how my hair turned out. I wish youtube let you post pics lol.... but your hair is so long and pretty. I like your curl pattern too! it turned out great!!! thanks for sharing!☺

The dye is the light blonde. I do my ends first then let it set alittle. Then add the rest in. I hope that help.

I just bought that Clairol Hair Coloring Kit From Walmart is in Honey Blonde after watching your video on how to use it I feel real confident that I can do this by myself cuz at 1st I real scare cuz this is my 1st time coloring my hair and btw I love that blonde color on you it really looks great on you

I watched because I wanted to see an actual result for this one that you used. I use the same brand with great results, no breakage etc. I used red hot red but wanna try the honey blonde, not sure how it will look on my hair but thanks for showing it

I have never colored my natural hair. Did you wash your hair before starting the coloring process? After coloring Did you wash the coloring activator, etc out of your hair
before applying the Clairol Conditioner, an d finish wirh cool rinse?

TFS You look great. :)TBH...Textures and tones tightens my coils...I use it to cover my grey hair, and have had no problems for years.I think it's the safest box dye out there for all Afro hair types.Sisters, please stay away from l'oreal Feria ombre for dark hair(it has a Black model with coils on the box.) That dye straightened my ends; I ended up cutting off 3 inches of hair. #TeamTexturesAndTones. made exclusively for women of color...Yeah!

When I initially died my hair some months ago (February), your video was one of the one's that I used to study the process before I tried it myself! Has anyone been able to find that conditioner anywhere else? It's the business!!!
They stop selling it about 6 few years ago. U can only get it in the dye box. I loved it

Just dyed my hair yesterday with the 4rv blazing burgundy and it looks amazing. It didn't ruin my curls or dry out my hair. This is a great box hair dye.

Thanks for sharing I usually go to a professional salon but they charge me $180 and I have a short hair on sides and back a low brush cut and the top is a low Mohawk . This week I will be trying this. I like the ombre look , I like the bang area lighter than the rest do you recommend only adding the booster when doing the front ?

I have used Texture and Tones for year s on natural and Texturize hair and love it.
I wanted to dye my hair but not use too harmful of chemicals and saw this brand of dye. I should look for this color cause I always wanted purple or plum hair so this will help me!
Though how long after doing this can you actually use other dye or after a relaxer?

this is the only color I use to lift my hair...I just haven't figured out how to tone it to a light honey blonde color (my hair is really dark).... (it goes orangey/ or once in the pale stage it goes too pale of a blonde for my complexion)
If you are getting that honey blonde color, each time you add color it will get lighter. You can try the lightest blonde. It will not be as blonde as you think.

No, I did not use any bleach.
but what if its the first time dyeing ur hair. mine is completely black and I want the exact look u ave .
This is bleach, do not use this thinking it is not. she just did not prelighten with another product because the lightener is in the product.

That color is very pretty. I'm a die-hard fan of 1N and i love it. But, that STEIP 3 PANTENE CONDITIONER IS THE MFKN' BOMB!!!!!! THEY SHOULD PUT THE STUFF ON THE MARKETS INSTEAD OF THE COLOR HAIR PRODUCTS. THAT STUFF IS LIKE BUTTER, FOR REAL, FOR REAL. HAVE YO HAIR FEELING SO GOOD. PANTENE TEXTURES AND TEXTURES, WILL YOU GUYS COME OUT WITH A CONDITIONER THAT'S NOTICEABLE AND THAT SEEMS LIKE THE TONES AND TEXTURES. It said to shampoo after u use the intensive conditioner..do I shampoo after I use conditioner and then use regular conditioner after I shampoo or just use intensive conditioner and ignore what it saids about shampoo after?

i know this vid is old but do you wash your hair with shampoo and everything after the dye is done? or just rinse out with water and condition? i plan on doing this soon! :)
I use the conditoner and rinse or sometimes i use both

Do not do your ends first, they will fry, start at your mid strands do everything you want colored and then go back through and pull through to the ends!
I used this product on my natural black hair. With one application it raised the color to a honey blonde shade. I want it lighter...like your shade. Would I be able to achieve that with another color application all over ?
Yes, That is how i started. I went to honey blonde to lightest blonde. Then I only use lightest blonde each time. It will get lighter and lighter.
