The way this tank plays, I like having ammo swapper. I consider the primary role of this tank to be anti-light armor. The HE does AN ABSURD amount more damage than the standard rounds. You can make a leopard CRY. You can perma-track light tanks with the HE (If they aren't 100% spec'd into track repair) Knowing which tanks have 50-70mm of side armor behind the tracks is GAME CHANGING. Outside of HE use, this tank offers solid and consistent chip damage with its VERY high standard pen. The alpha of the standard shells feels very low. The Panzerjager is definitely a better TD, because the SHPTK (SH*TPACK) is more specialized, not so much because it feels like it was INTENDED to be specialized, but because the disparity between the HE and primary makes it feel like you are at a disadvantage if you do not make full use of the HE. This tank is still VERY GOOD just shooting standard ammo. If you can slap a camo crew on this tank, optics, camo net, (choice of third eqpmt), you have a tank that is capable of playing against tier 10s and, RNG willing, consistantly get 3k dmg. Solely because of its very high pen.
Note: I am half the player that petty is. Monthly average of 1900-2200 wn8. Take this review as you will.

Traverse speeds are actually really good for a turreted TD. The Charioteer is off worse, and that‘s one of the more agile TDs. Don‘t expect medium tank traverse speeds on a TD, although the SHPTK-TVP 100 is in that area.
Yeh 42 degrees a second are great, as I say just feels a little slow because of the long boi frame 😅

I think my best Czech commander only has like 4 skills and this will require different skills eventually anyway being a TD. Maybe in the future they will give us a Czech TD line and this will be a good crew trainer for that but until then... not for me.

I really want this tank but the only thing that is holding me back from getting it is - I know, this sounds stupid, but - the shell velocity. 897 m/s on its standard and 795 on its premium? In the current hyper-fast yolo meta, that simply isn't good enough, in my opinion. Some people may not mind it, but I simply cannot stand slow shell velocity as, to me, a missed shot due to the shell simply not traveling fast enough could mean the different between getting that clutch game-winning shot in or potentially losing the match entirely.
Everything else about the tank is great though. The only other knock I have on it is the pathetic 6 degrees of gun depression.
The shell velocity ain't great but tbh it's till useable especially with how damn quick it aims
It's velocity is on par for tier 8 not great but there are worse. It's a great td, lots of fun.
It's on par with the Higher caliber guns, a lot of the Tanks at tier 8 with that gun caliber are pushing 1000m/s
Like the NM With it's 1200m/s which is just better.

doubt we'll get the italian tds' for another 2 years maybe more. these devs are brain dead, lazy, and incompetent. we still dont have the double barreled tanks.
And in Blitz has a Japanese TD line which I have a crew for., and I've got a crew ready for the Italian TD line also for the future😶

Still its a really good and aspecialy fun tank and with all of those strenghts the tank has to have some weaknesses

The only advantage here apart from the tiny ass increase in pen is that heat doesn’t lose that pen over distance. But it’s worse than AP as an ammunition type in every other way apart from pen as distance
It gets eaten by tracks and spaced armour all the time. It’s literally only useful for farming type 4’s/ 5’s and other super heavies
Otherwise you don’t need it
