Bijan was getting met at the line and even then was driving the defenders for 2-3 yards. Also that route, catch, and run was fantastic at 3:42. Finds the open space, has to flip around a catch the ball and somehow stays perfectly in stride to get some YAC. He needs to work on his blocking technique as the qb got pressured/ sacked a couple times in this video alone for people Bijan should have picked up. But I think this tape looks great

I know this video is about Bijan and he looked pretty good overall, but that QB #1 for Texas was making some pretty nice throws there and standing in that pocket real well when it would collapse. Some throws looked pretty good I must say. Keep an eye on him as well for the future :).

Explosion doesn’t really stand out compared to his other games. When the holes get smaller he doesn’t have that burst that those elite guys have. He’ll be good in a system that allows him to be patient as a runner but

Lol its funny how only certain teams are expected to move the ball at all against bama. I dont care how great your rb is a nick saban coached team will usually never let that kind of back get more than 60 yards rushing.
Bijan did all he can. Texas' O-line was not very good at run blocking back then. They are still not great but getting better. I guess when you start two freshman and a sophmore then you will have things to work on. But Bijan did not have much of a chance in that game. I wonder with a healthy QB if it would have opened up the run game for Texas more.
Besides the run at 3:31 and the catch at 3:40 he got shutdown. 57 yards 2.7 avg 1td rushing and 73 receiving yards. 130 total yards. Not great but Alabama is a better team than the longhorns and Bijan has put up big numbers against other good ranked teams so its not too concerning.
This is tough to watch only positive is that he can catch the ball and I guess run routes but he's a running back. This bama team was trash this year on defense too

A more creative offensive coordinator will do more of what Texas tried to do with him every once and a while... put him at slot receiver
The Texas offense was basically a one man show. The whole D was keying on Bijaan, b/c the QB was an average passer on his best day.
Bama LB was getting ran through constantly, he was still meeting Bijan in the hole.

Texas oline was also one of the worst in college football. Hard to get going when it’s 2 defenders in the backfield soon as you get the handoff.
