I went on a Nilgai hunt with Sam about 8 years ago. He put me on a big bull. We stalked him for about an hour. As I was getting ready to shoot he asked me again about my confidence in my 25:06. He wanted me to use a 300 Win Mag, To take the bull. I said I’m good. I let it rip and put the bull down. What a great hunt and a great guide. Sam will put you on Great Bulls. I look forward to the day I can go back on the Kenedy Ranch to hunt with Sam.

I’m enjoying your posts while staying home. My son shot a bull in February and I was with him. Now dad and sons have all tasted the Nilgai meat!

excellent, plenty of time these days to finish up these video projects. glad you enjoyed. a friend of mine spoke of his first nilgai hunt, "its like a right of passage", and I get super excited thinking of watching my 3 boys each get their first nilgai one day. We eat the meat several times a week, and feeling blessed to have a freezer full of it before the home quarantine!

decent bulls Sam Isle is who i also hunt with when i try for the Devil horse …. although i have shifted my efforts to hunting Africa where you can shoot five animals for the price of a Nilgai
