What a heartwarming reaction...I do not know if D.O. still has his father, and I have been an Exo fan since 2011...unless it is made known to me by him, himself, not the media...it is not any of my business. When this album recently came out....all other reactors out there, and myself, gave way to tears...feeling the same way you did. It's hard not to feel...we need to cherish our parents, plain and simple. Not only did they give us life, through the grace of God...but those fathers who were always there, raising us in their own way, working hard, selflessly sacrificing...as young people, we may not recognize what they went through as we grow up, so involved with our own lives. And being a busy singer and star, busy within the public eye...time passes quickly...and you find yourself all grown up. Whether D.O. lost his father or not, he captures his heartfelt thoughts in this simple song. Bravo D.O., thank you for letting us feel your feelings...and for making us appreciate family even more..it made us stop and think, made us cry...and you are a beautiful son for singing this for us. That's one reason why you, Kyungsoo, will forever be my ultimate bias in all of Kpop. 💙🌺

Vivo en Australia pero soy de Argentina, y el año pasado mi papá enfermó de covid y estuvo muy, muy mal. Estuve varias semanas tratando de conseguir permisos para viajar, un lugar en donde quedarme para hacer cuarentena, certificados etc. Él estuvo en el hospital tres meses, el primero de ellos en coma. Cuando despertó su memoria estaba afectada y no podía caminar. Con mucha rehabilitación y terapia pudo salir adelante, y pasé con él unos cuantos meses hasta que estuvo repuesto y recién ahí pude volver a casa. En esos meses fuimos reconstruyendo la memoria y recuperando recuerdos, y pasamos tiempo juntos como dos adultos que se han conocido toda la vida pero que siempre tienen cosas de las que hablar y que aprender el uno del otro, con nuestras diferencias y similitudes. Cuando escuché esta canción por primera vez me sentí conmovida de saber que todos los hijos tenemos momentos en los cuales nos choca ese sentimiento de saber que el tiempo que tenemos con nuestros padres, que parece eterno cuando somos niños, de repente se va acortando como cuando cae el sol por la tarde, cada vez más rápido. Hay que construir recuerdos mientras se puede, porque esa es la comida para el alma cuando alguien se ausenta par siempre. Gracias por reaccionar.

Tengo a mis papás conmigo, me siento tan agradecida por ello. De por sí soy muy cariñosa, siempre voy corriendo a abrazarlos, a darles un beso y preguntarles cómo están, pero hay cosas que son más difíciles de conversar.
A veces nosotros como hijos nos damos cuenta que nuestros padres están heridos por algo, que están pasando por momentos en los que se sienten tristes o preocupados, pero es más difícil decir 'Pa, ¿te preocupa algo?' 'Mamá, ¿por qué te sientes triste?' que intentar conversar sobre otras cosas más superficiales, pero a veces lo único que ellos necesitan es que les hagamos saber que sí sabemos cuando las cosas son difíciles y que pueden contar con nosotros para conversar o desahogarse.
Me encantó la reacción de los 2 estando desde 2 lugares distinto, aunque también desde el mismo lado, pues usteden son padre e hija, pero a la vez los 2 son hijos, por lo que sus corazones deben haber tenido mucho que decir, pero cuando algo te toca tan profundo, las palabras no salen.
El papá de DO está vivo, pero antes de sacar esta canción, estuvo en el Servicio Militar, por lo que creo que estando alejado de esa manera, encontró las palabras perfectas para esta canción, pues D.O es, en realidad, muy cercano a su familia.

It also makes me cry... I think his dad must be so happy hearing this song always and knowing that it's for him. Bacause D.O.'s an extremely private person, and yet he released this song with such a private message. It probably touches your dad even more as he thinks of his dad and is also a dad himself, which gives him an even deeper understanding of how his own dad probably felt while raising him. To me it makes me a bit anxious thinking of some day when I will lose my parents, and so I always feel like I'm trying to make up for the time that I will lose in the future.
