So, now I am looking for the Osprey Poco lt or the Deuter Kid Comfort Active SL because both are lighter. Besides, I am wondering if there is a huge difference in the torso adjustments between the two? Is the torso adjustment of the Osprey poco lt going smaller than of the regular Deuter kid comfort pro or active? I actually prefer the Osprey because of the size.
Hi, the smallest torso adjustment is with the Deuter Kid Comfort SL. All the other Deuter carriers have the same torso adjustment (but the Pro is by far the largest carrier overall). The Osprey LT kind of sits between the KC and the KC SL for torso adjustability. You can see from the video that the back length of the Osprey LT is a little shorter compared to the KC Active. Hope this helps.

Hi Alex, They are both very comfortable carriers, but for longer day-hikes, we'd recommend the Deuter Kid Comfort Active, due to its slightly more padded back harness system. There's not a huge amount in it, and there may be others that might prefer the minimalism of the Poco LT. We'd just edge towards the Deuter for longer days though. Hope that helps!
What do you recommend for shorter parents? Both of us are around 5'3, he is slight in frame and I'm larger in frame. We want something comfortable for us that will grow well with baby and is easy to travel with. Thanks!
Hi there, I think it would be worth looking at the Kid Comfort Active SL as this will be really adjustable for both of you. I wouldn't be concerned that it is a female design - this is really just for the shoulder straps (a bit narrower) and the waist belt (more shaped). However with the SL you won't be at the lowest fit on the back system and I think this will be more comfortable as the carrier won't be as high above your shoulders (can be really annoying - especially if you wear your hair in a pony tail!). @@LittleAdventureShop is the SL smaller in size overall than the Deuter reviewed here? We have seen the Osprey Poco LT in person and loved how neat it was for packing, but nervous it won't be robust enough for our child who is 2. I was just wondering if the folded dimensions are smaller on the SL - we are 2 mummas so we'd be looking at that model anyway.

So to answer your question the folded dimensions of the SL are the same as the Active in the video. I would probably be moving towards the Deuter carrier if I was buying in when my child was already 2 yrs old as it has more room around the child seat area - hope that helps!
