Love your playing. You have some really interesting ideas as well as great technique. I also love the idea that these fiddle tunes lend themselves to more of a celtic vibe when played at a more moderate pace. I'm guessing this is due to most of them having a Scottish or Irish heritage.

What a great and enjoyable video. Nice playing. Your comments on the quality of the instrument, getting an instrument that makes you want to play are so true. I just experienced this. I bought an Iris guitar. I am relatively new to guitar and learning bluegrass and have been through a couple guitars before deciding to look at a higher level guitar and wow. I even love the smell.

It’s a shallow dread… so it’s a little slimmer than a full size. I think I had Elixir HD light strings.

Some real nice picking. A little side note about guitars here; so many people get hung up on the name and certainly try a Martin but use it as you gauge to look for the right guitar. Maybe the Martin is your guitar after all but give the others a shot, you may be surprised by what you find and learn. Anyway another really nice video and some sweet playing!

Yeah I played a dreadnought for years with a neck that was not ideal for my hands but I didn’t know about custom guitars and how comfortable they can be. I love my clinchfield guitars.
