平塚市における自動運転バス実証実験（Trial Run of Autonomous Buses in Hiratsuka）

本市は、国土交通省の自動運転実証調査事業の採択を受け、既存バス路線（平塚駅南口～すみれ平～平塚駅南口）にて、令和6年1月22日から2月2日まで路線バス自動運転の実証実験を行いました。
自動運転車両の導入はバス運転手不足解消の一つの手段として期待されており、本市は、将来的な路線バスの自動運転化により、持続的な公共交通の実現を目指します。
Hiratsuka city conducted a trial run of autonomous buses on the current circular bus route (from Hiratsuka station south exit via Sumiredaira station) from January 22nd to February 2nd in 2024, in response to the adoption of the autonomous vehicle implementation project proposed by the MLIT (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism).
Implementation of autonomous buses is expected to help with the shortage of bus drivers. With this, we are aiming to attain sustainable public transportation in the future.
本実証実験は、令和5年4月7日に平塚市が神奈川中央交通株式会社、三菱商事株式会社、アイサンテクノロジー株式会社、A-Drive株式会社と締結した「自動運転移動サービスを中心とした地域公共交通のDX推進に係る連携協定」に令和6年1月19日付けでいすゞ自動車株式会社が加わり、実施されています。
This trial run was conducted based on the “Promotion of Digital Transformation of the Regional Public Transportation” agreement by Hiratsuka city and Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu Co., Ltd., Mitsubishi Corporation, Aisan Technology Co., Ltd and A-Drive. Inc. on April 7th, 2023 and Isuzu Motors Limited on January 19th, 2024.
