- Hey y’all. In today’s video I will be sharing with you all my newborns wash day routine. I will be sharing with you guys some tips and tricks on how to keep your baby’s hair nice and healthy. In this video my baby is 3 months, however I’ve been doing this same routine since she was a newborn. I found that using these products has kept her hair nice and healthy.The only product that I wasn’t using since birth is the Dove conditioner I started using that when she was about two months old. I bought every product here except for the cradle cap wash (and we use coconut and olive oil currently instead of jojoba), and my baby girl’s hair is loving it! We moisturize with the leave in and oils each day in between wash days and she sleeps on silk to avoid friction). We started this at about five weeks old and she’s now seven weeks old. Her hair is full and luscious! Thank you for uploading these product recommendations!

Good stuff guys and the mom that made video. Didn't know to put so much in babies hair because I thought their hair and scalp was so sensitive.. I have two boys they didn't need much but have a baby girl on the way. Will definitely grab a few of those pearls u and the mom of this video dropped ❤

@@lunaghostie4630 We’re using standard extra virgin olive oil. It doesn’t provide as much curl definition to my daughter’s hair as the coconut oil does, but it keeps moisture locked in for much longer. That’s why I currently combine the two-to get the best of both (definition and hydration).

Wowwwwww. You’re right about the conditioner. I’ve never to put conditioner in my babies hair because it’s none in the market so I just assumed it wasn’t necessary. I just always used a good moisturizer...

Babo botanicals also has conditioner for babies. I also use a silk band on my babies mattress to protect her curls at night. It’s from silky tots-pricey but worth it!

This is so true! And you are so right gender does not matter! At the end of the day Hair is hair! The only thing that matters/ makes a difference or determines what you use on hair is the actual texture.

His daddy has extremely tight curls and my hair is a curly/wavy so no telling how is hair my be textured but what are your thoughts on coconut oil and the black castor oil?

My daughter is 16 months old & i wish I would seen this video for her as a tiny baby. I have good hair myself but I do not really know much about hair so I typically throw it in a bun. So do to my lack of hair routine I did not ha e any clue as to a routine for my child’s hair. This would is a helpful video and I will use the tips given in this video moving toward. Way to much products for me for my baby. I just use the same baby soap i give him a bath in lol and us coconut oil and til now his hair is the same texture as a new born and he is 5.

Baby dove has shampoo and conditioner for textured hair… it has coconut oil, almond oil, calendula, chamomile, and oatmeal…and it smells sooo good. They also have the body wash and lotion too.

Congratulations on your pregnancy.. for a new born you won’t need to put anything in their hair for the first few weeks and then from months 1-3 I would say just a few drops of either coconut oil or jojoba oil

I am not sure that this is a great idea to use so many products on this sweet tiny fragile head. I see your point and I got it, but I think that on this early stage the less the better. A sweet oil of your choice and a gentle shampoo is enough. Besides, all those products are not aim for babies. This routine is great, but should be start when the child is at least 3 or 4 years old.

Not all the products... definitely the Shea moisture and a drop of jojoba oil for the newborn.. literally a drop

Only 1 time a week... if she didn’t have dandruff I would do it once every 2 weeks

Good video I always felt Johnson and Johnson wasn't really made for black babies hair it seems to strip our hair. Thank goodness for more natural products and oils on the market now. Have you tried lines like fro babies or Cara b they make conditioner and other products for babies and kids with natural hair. Your baby is adorable with a beautiful head of hair
