Very simple construction, wish you could have built a trap for the lower frequencies. But, hey, that's part of the hobby, .... experimenting. I do have a mfj grid dip meter and a older mfj 259 antenna analyzer. It would be interesting to see which device is more accurate.
Peter, truly enjoy watching your videos. Question on the 17m 20m trap EFHW vertical; what SWR did you achieve on 20 meters? Getting 1.5:1 on 17, but so far, I've only been able to get 2.5/1 on 20. Suggestions? Using Rig Expert analyzer. Thanks and keep up the great videos. They're a joy to watch.
Would this trap cut off anything above 18.120? If so would this antenna be primarily used for the CW portion of the band. What frequency would you make the trap for in order to use it on your 17/20 meter end fed half wave vertical?
@@watersstanton well they make ham sticks for the 75meter all it is ,is a coil of enalbaled 20 gaugewire wound around a fiberglass stick & it wworks so y not do the same thing with a 1 ft section of 1/2 or 3/4 ir 1" cpvc tube/ pipe? . thats all the coils r on a vertical wipe? y adding a capsator to it te wipes dont have a capsator in thm

Well I usually guess and the adjust once the resonance is checked with a metre. It comes with experience! 73 Peter.

Try changing tge feeder length to see if that helps. I assume you have be a line iaolator at Tzx end? 73 Peter

The trap only blocks 18MHz ham.band.
