I found the fluffy small 4 inch paint rollers you buy to go behind radiators have a coarse mesh backing . if you peel them off the roller barrel then cut into the size you need they can be a fixed with double sided tape as long as the tape doesn't cover the mic hole the mesh allows the sound through fine and it really cuts out the wind noise brilliantly

Wow! Great idea! I'm using that trick for sure on my G7X.
This was an amazing decrease in wind noise, does it affect any other sound coming in? I would try this but I'm to scared to get glue in the mic 🙂
+kickthejamz doesn't seem to effect any thing else. You could double sided tape instead.
