      Did you read the guys bio? He’s actually helping these animals. He lives in Palestine. Which isn’t a rich country and he takes stray animals and animals that need help and provides them treatment using his OWN money. Again if you read his bio you will see that he wrote Palestine has no laws that protects animals. If this is a stray cat they probably try to do this as quickly to reduce stress on the animal. As a vet you are the enemy of almost every animal. You literally give them shots which are painful and etc and they associate pain with the vet and person. Why do you think they hate going to the vet? It’s hard to hold a pill while also trying to force a pill down an animals throat. You think if they have a cat bleeding out on their table and it’s losing a lot of blood there gonna wait for the cat to get comfortable before they stick an IV in it? Not to mention I’m sure they dealing with limited supplies so if they end up dropping the pill and loosing it they just wasted a pill that the doctor used with his OWN money to buy.

I know sometimes cats don't want to come out of their carriers but please do not grab at them and try to shake them out of their carriers, he is very scared and forcing him will only make future vets visits even scarier, instead try to lure the cat out with treats and let them leave the carrier on their own terms. I adopted a cat 2yrs ago and he has an extremely loud purr and loves anyone. When I took him to the Vet last year he just kept on purring and rubbing up against the Vet and head booping her. The Vet took him in the back to draw some blood and brought him back in. Then she brought him back in, still purring like he always does. This year, as soon as she entered the exam room and looked at his name on the chart, she remembered his purrs and as soon as I took him out of the carrier (he's not a fan of the carrier) he immediately started his purring again and the Vet said he's been her favorite kitty she's ever dealt with and that the staff liked him too. The only downside to his purring is that he snores just as loud.😂. When I got him from the shelter, they told me he'd been returned once because he was "too loud and too needy". Yeah, I gotta turn the TV up some if he's purring or snoring, but his loving nature for everyone makes up for it. ❤

If you ever worked with cats, you’d know they can be unpredictable, holding by the scruff for example is so the vet can SAFELY inject the needle and give the pill, if the cat weren’t being held by the scruff, the cat could’ve clawed the vets arms and the tool could’ve punctured the cats, is that would you’d rather happen? huh? an injury to occur?

    That cat is so sweet and they handled him so roughly! I worked as a vet tech and Ive never seen a cat handled so roughly from the the start by a medical professional. They need retraining or smthg.
    Edit: To all the people saying cats are tough and don't get injured easily, I wasn't addressing the cat getting injured- tho I wouldn't be surprised if that happened more frequently than it should at this vet.
    I was discussing the vet stressing the cat out for no reason. As someone who deals with cats like this daily, it's hard enough for their owners to get cats to the vet office without overly stressing them out (which many times accidents in the car happen when you have a stressed out cat.) As vet techs, we try to handle the cat as gently, quickly, and efficiently as possible to not cause them to panic like what happened here. They didn't even need to take the cat out of it's carrier. In this situation, you'd remove the top of the carrier, have one vet hold the cat still- by the scruff and sometimes with a towel, and have the other give the injections. Imagine being handled like in the video every time you went to the doctor. You'd probably vomit and deficate from stress in the car and at the office as well. Do better.

      @@niovistefanatou3266 I re-watched the video to make sure but my opinion did not change
      Firstly if you notice the sides of the cage there are screws so I do not think it is easy to open it In addition he did not fall or anything like that and he's not a kitten even if he fell from such a short distance it would not be harmed.
      Secondly, it is natural to hold the neck tightly because the cat had previously received the injection he is more cautious and tried to get away It is necessary to hold it firmly so that it does not try to escape and hurt itself in the process.
      thirdly, I do not think that he carried the cat on the table to harm it because he did not hold him in a painful way at all It is normal to hold cats this way and he will not be harmed properly he just wanted to see his size and the length of his torso
      I assure you that people have no experience with how a vets should deal with animals they do not own them or knowing for these animals and they may behave in a very chaotic

    For anyone wanting tips for gentler handling in this situation: drop a towel on him from above and scoop him out from the top entrance, supporting his whole body and tucking him close to you. Using a towel to wrap them let’s you keep the pointy bits contained and makes the cat feel contained and comfortable.
    Scruffing is generally best reserved for emergencies (ie: cat trying to bite your assistant) or procedures that they need to be very still for, such as blood draws. Treats can help with some cats, but most cats don’t eat when they’re stressed. Cats prefer to have stable ground beneath them, so press down to restrain as opposed to lifting them in the air. The Vancouver Vet has a lot of great tips on cat handling, so check him out if you want to learn more!

      @@equityjustice2695theyre treating him very rough. The injection and pill were fine, but the eviction from the carrier, spinning him around by his scruff (which is fine for kittens but painful for adults due to their body weight) and... whatever he was doing at the end. They were basically treating the cat like a toy while he was clearly not thrilled. Normally i jump on people for claiming abuse where there is none, but this was inappropriate treatment

    • @DestructorD
      @DestructorD Před 9 měsíci +8

      @@KilelSixSpinning the cat around was like 50/50, I'd say. Take it how you will, but the dude was being fairly gentle about it. The scruff part and the end, I can understand. I fail to see how the vets getting the cat out of the carrier is a problem, unless you're trying to act like an experienced and trained vet from Wish. That girl was being hella careful trying to take it out and was actually gentle with tilting it out

    • @KilelSix
      @KilelSix Před 9 měsíci +4

      @@DestructorD mostly considering the cats experience. The spinning was mostly one of those things where you're doing just a LIIIIIITTLE too much. What the conduct in this video communicates to me is that they were trying to get the cat in and out as quickly as possible, without considering that theyre traumatizing the cat. Some of the videos they have where the cat is fighting like hell, some rougher treatment is warranted. But this guy in particular just needed a gentler hand. All this experience is going to do is compound the cats resistence at future visits.

    This hurts ! The vet is not treating this beautiful kitty properly, you can see he's hurting him. I'm sooo grateful for my vet who's so in love with his patients. When I bring my cat to him , his voice changes when I'm abou to take her out of the carrier, he talks gently to her, rubs her, gently picks her up to check everything he needs and constantly reassuring her she's safe. After 1 visit she's so much calmer and she never put up a fight, she sits on a table and looks up at him with a gaze of full trust. Never did she feel unsafe even during vaccinations , he's so good with her and reads that safety off him and it calms her. I belive a min requirent for vets should be compassion, love for animals and make them feel safe. If you're unable to do this minimum, don't become one

    We still have his mom, and one of his brothers but two of our cat family past away the last 3 years. They're older and I had them since I was a teenager.
