    I loved Uganda way more than Kenya and tanzania together. I love all three countries but Uganda will always have a special place in my heart.

    I was in Kampala and I was outside the supermarket I dropped my phone a teenager seen this and ran up to snatch it but before he could this lady grabbed and shouted something to him in luganda and he ran off lol the locals take care of the foreigners once you are good to the locals they will treat you as their own.... Uganda has a special place in my heart and I miss it 😢

    Beautiful country , big hearted people , I stayed 14 years in Kampala . Best Banana and the best pineapple . Love to eat Rolex chapati 👍worked with kookee enterprises ( kooksey ice cream ) .

    I was there for 2 week's 10 year's ago and I loved it. I was in Kampala . I didn't get to venture out far from the Orphanage, but I hope to one day. So beautiful

    Yeah, in all Ugandan cultures, visitors are supposed to be treated special. It feels like you are being lifted on a pedestal but that's culture. We are taught from childhood, at home, to put visitors first. People will go out of their way to protect you. The ones who don't are the rebels.

    I think you have a great respect on other cultures , it's wonderful. I live in London and sells airlines tickets to Ugandan and east African, mostly they are wonderful people.

    I am Ugandan but gosh the way Ugandans treat time like it is malleable can be frustrating. Disappearing to the village and late appointments ; "I was coming until I stopped coming" 🤣🤣🤣 funny but so frustrating 😤

      Extremly anoying to me.. very difficult for me to stay organiced in such unpredictable environment.. payment on arrival with a fixed appointment time and arranging discounts when deliverd later is my idea.. people need to feel that beeing late has consequences

    Not being back home, sometimes I forget how bad we are with time. But in that in a sense is like an unspoken rule, when someone says theyll be there in 5 mins. Just sit an chill,dont be in a hurry cause that guy meant not less than 30 mins

    Yeah your very right, I stayed in Uganda more than 10years!! Arua, The thing I always enjoyed was booda booda guys joke's, Muzunogo..... Muzungo need booda, I really enjoyed the time there,,, specially clubbing is on different levels!!

    In the United States, pocho is called mush. Corn meal mush to be more specific. People usually eat it for breakfast. They slice it into patties, fry it in sausage or bacon grease, and put butter and syrup on it, and it's really good. It makes for a good tasty meal and it's cheap, too.

    That white corn meal is call Ugali you eat with kale and mixed it with beef or goat meat it’s so delicious I promise you that!

    Uganda, by far is the best East African countries! If you are kind to people .. people are kind to you too. Every country has bad places, even UK has, been there - we must avoid, so do avoid! Don’t walk around at 11 PM with cash and Phone and don’t keep showing off ! Stay grounded, enjoy food, appreciate people here ! It’s a lovely atmosphere always.

    The only staple you don't seem to have experienced is millet. It's a staple across the whole country with the exception perhaps of the central region

      I was able to help in the Orphanage and I have never met such happy, beautiful children who were so grateful for every little thing. They loved to sing to me. I wanted to stay. ♡.

    Djibouti was like that with time. Everyone was always on the way, even though you could circle the city in 30 minutes or less, lol! Good times! It must be a East Africa thing!
