Good to see you’re back! I finished my basement about two years ago and your videos were integral in getting the job done. Couldn’t have done it without you!
Hi Bob! Glad the training videos helped w/ the basement project! Thanks again for putting your faith in me and the Basement Finishing University 2.0 program.
Eddie
is there another way to install those 2x4`s around the pole without having to useing the ramset ?
Great timing. I keep thinking about how I want my basement finished.
Hey hello! Well it's time to get the project started...or at least begin the Designing and Floor Plan creation stages! Thanks for tuning-in to the video.
Eddie
So great to see you posting again.
I am actually ready to finish my basement but I will be hiring a contractor.
I have enjoyed your videos because not only do you provide great design ideas you do a excellent job explaining things so I can understand what the people I hire will be doing.
Hey K! Well good luck with your basement and the hiring of your basement contractor. I am creating a product to help homeowners like yourself hire subcontractors and General contractors successfully...what to look for when hiring, what questions to ask, how to check references, etc.. Glad you enjoyed the training...thank you so much for your purchase. I'm always here if you have any questions you would like to run by me during your project.

Shouldn't the wood on the poles be treated? They run down to the floor.
welcome back Eddie!
Hi Mike! I should have a few videos uploaded more over the next week from footage from my last 5 or 6 basement I just completed. Thanks for commenting buddy!
Eddie
Love your stuff! I have a good sized basement to finish.
Cool...If I can help let me know! Thanks for watching.
Eddie
Love this. I do feel sorry for the poor soul who removes that basement wall with the studs connected to it when someone decides to go with a beam in a couple decades."🤣😂🤣
You probably answered this already, my apologies if you did. You shot the ram shot nails into the metal pole? did you need specials nails for that? Also how high did you make the half wall?
IF you have vinyl plank flooring already down do you still need to use pressure treated on the baseplate? Concrete was sealed and then the floor was laid.
Yes you still should use treated plates
Hi Eddie, how do you frame around a 4” lally column? This is what I’ve got. Do I make thicker walls?
Thanks for the video- any chance ever to do one with fire stop. I live in NJ and my code ask for fire stop
Yes! I will get one done here soon...as soon as I have the footage to make the video I'll get it out to you. Thanks for commenting!
Eddie
Welcome back!
Yes it's been a long time...a year to be exact! I've finally had a break in the basement remodeling company and can now make some new videos from the footage I have collected over the last few months. Thanks for watching Nelson! Glad to be back on CZcams again.
Eddie
Why don’t the 2x4s that sandwich the columns need to be sitting on treated lumber?
That bottom of the 2" x 4" touching the floor is not enough touching to worry about.
Basement Finishing Man Thanks for the quick reply. And thanks for all of the in depth videos. They are helping me tremendously!
